    Re: Sleeve Failure??

I would be worried that a month in that you're eating almost 1000 calories a day. When I went for my 6 month appointment, I finally made my nutritionist give me a calorie number to use as a guideline...

    Re: South Carolina?

I believe my initial appointment was around March 20th about a week after the seminar and I had my surgery on June 4th. There was one powder that I was able to use (tolerate) for my pre-op diet but...

    Re: South Carolina?

My surgery was with SC Obesity Center. My doctor is Dr. Strickland and he's great. I'm not the biggest fan of the nutritionist there, but otherwise a great experience. I think the pre-surgery diet...
  4. Re: Hiatal Hernia repair not done at same time as sleeve !! has this ever happened to anyone?

I would be concerned that initially this doctor lied to you and then gave you lame excuses when you found out he lied to you. I don't know if I would trust a doctor that now is making me pay out more...

4 months post op and 75lbs smaller

I know for some 75lbs is a lot of weight. It's a lot of weight for me but when you were knocking on the doorstep of 400lbs, it's a 1/3 of what I need to lose. I'm very happy with the weight loss....

    Re: Anyone else???

Always follow your doctor's instructions. It's best to sip all day to help with that issue. You have to remember that your stomach is still healing, tender and probably swollen. Take it step by step....

I'm sitting here at my surgeon's office waiting to see him and the NUT and thought I'd pass the time with an update. I lost 15lbs on the pre-op diet. 29lbs the first month and 15lbs the 2nd month. I...

    Re: NSV--More inches lost

I joined Planet Fitness with a friend. Of course she's like 160 lbs but it's good to go with a buddy. We can push each other and that helps. I had to travel this week so I haven't been to the gym but...

    NSV--More inches lost

So pre-surgery I took body measurements. My surgery was on 6/4 and on 6/22 I had lost 19.5 inches. Took measurements today and have lost another 11.75 inches for a total of 31.25 inches. Right now my...

I had one as well. They ended up finding a hiatal hernia. That was the final piece that I needed to accomplish before submitting to insurance. It was submitted to insurance on a Monday and my...

So yesterday I was 6 weeks post-op which means I am no longer on any specific food restrictions. Today I had my 3 month lab work follow up with my regular PCP and I must say I left happy! I have lost...

Re: Going back to work after VGS

I have a desk job but took 4 weeks off. My insurance covered it and was paid short term disability. I could have probably gone back after 2-3 weeks but I wasn't ready. All the different stages of...

Re: POST SLEEVERS: What are your Top 3?

I agree with Ann, Isopure made me and my husband (who I made try it) almost vomit! No matter what they tell you at the Vitamin store, none of them are good. Some of my liquids were the liquid from...

Re: HI, I'm jumping into the pool!

I was fortunate enough to have my insurance cover whatever I chose, i.e. bypass, sleeve or band. I chose the sleeve and my surgeon thought that was perfect. My BMI was 56 which a lot of people say...

    Wow! Is this real?

I feel like it's not real. My husband and I were talking about my weight loss and he asked if I had weighed today. I went and got on the scales (4 times) and it's showing that I've lost another 15lbs...
