Re: This is a tool not a solution!

Hell, I have had people tell me it is the easy way out and I agree. Over the Christmas and Thanksgiving and New Year's break, I have only lost a couple of pounds. But, I have eaten anything and...

I think azlazyrider came back because she loves to stir the pot!

Drinking liquids has always been a snap for me, also. Usually when I feel like I'm not restricted enough, it is because I haven't followed the rules about drinking and eating. If I do not drink...

    Re: Drink your FLUIDS

Sugar free powerade might be a good substitute to avoid sugar but stay hydrated, or vitamin water could work. I hate the taste of those and usually drink Propel, but the first 3 months I was adamant...
  5. Job Prospects and Promotions after Weight Loss

    274
I own my own business, and I speak to most of my customers over the phone, so appearance doesn't matter, as far as I know. We all know the world hates fat people, and promotions and hiring have...

The hardest thing was the preop and postop diets, and they weren't much harder than normal dieting, albeit life or death was at stake!
Otherwise, it is so easy for me to lose weight with this...

    Re: Diabetes 2!!!!

Fasting blood sugar about 120, A1C 6.6, so not quite cured, but that is also unmedicated, plus I'm less fat. All other numbers normal except slightly low vitamin d, so I will supplement for that.

    Re: Hi

Even when I feel slightly hungry, it is nothing like the all consuming obsession for food from before. Plus, I just can't eat that much anymore, and when I am full - I don't want anything for hours....

    Re: Death by NSAIDS

Thanks for the replies so far. Are there any heavy users of ibuprofen and methatrexate who have psoriatic arthritis?

    Death by NSAIDS

Cigar man is right again. That old friend of food is equivalent to a crack dealer giving you free product - you don't need that friend. I find it wonderful to look at delicious food and be full and...

I'm not bashing your choice, I'm pointing out your inconsistencies.

I can easily eat 7 to 8 ounces if it isn't all meat in about a half hour, although I feel the stop signal at that point, but it really isn't unpleasant, although firm. If it is all meat, 5 to 6...

I don't see the equivalency in pointing out insensitivity and calling someone a fat old hag.

Well, I have to ask you if you thought it was insensitive of you when you told some "fat overly obese HAG" off?

Can't wait for the stress test

    276
My cardiologist wants me to take a stress test next year. The last time, I couldn't get past about 135 beats per minute, but at 344, I thought and still think that it was a pretty good result....
  21. Re: Question for those who have lost 100lbs in a year or less?

As far as loose skin goes, I think there are 4 main issues:
    1. age
    2. hydration
    3. speed of weight loss
    4. exercise

I think at one year I will have lost about 100 pounds, and hope to be...

Re: Stomach dilation after 16 years with sleeve

I'm hoping they do a study of sleevers stomach size after 5 and 10 years and 15 years to verify this information on a larger scale.

Re: Stomach dilation after 16 years with sleeve

It wasn't performed laproscopically back then - that is what has made it so popular these days, and I believe eliminating the open stomach wound has significantly lowered the mortality rate.
  25. Re: Seriously screaming out for help from my new and old sleeve sisters and brothers.:'(

I think a bit of perspective is in order. We are all over eaters, emotional eaters, poor choice eaters, etc., or we wouldn't have needed the sleeve. Even when you are not losing weight, and you...
