    Loose Skin Nightmares

I've lost over 200 pounds and have 17 to go to make my original goal, which I think I would revise and lower. The surgery was a huge success for me. I went to Juarez and had excellent medial care...
  2. Re: One year anniversary of sleeve (5/23/2011 surgery date)

Wow three years later, you are still at your goal weight? That's so inspiring. I'm happy but still live in fear of the weight.
  3. Re: For Sleevers 6 Months Out and Up -- Does the loss slow down SEVERELY?

    What is the pouch test?
  4. One year anniversary of sleeve (5/23/2011 surgery date)

one year = 190 lbs gone.
    No complications. (Not one!)
There is nothing I would reccomend more highly than this operation for people who struggle with their weight.
    I have my life back.

    Re: Looking for some support

I never had buyer's remorse, but I sure was dissapointed that (in Juarez) they don't give you any narcotics. I would have liked to not have had as much pain. They sent us home with the same ...

    Congratulations! You look amazing!
  7. Re: Frozen meals - not ideal but sometimes a day saver

It will get easier! I don't think of my sleeve often. I also don't have situations where I eat too much. After two months, I knew what would be too much and I never want to feel like that! If I am...

  9. Re: Frozen meals - not ideal but sometimes a day saver

Thank you for that. I try and live on chicken breast, trukey breast, etc. but every now and then crave something a little more. I might try part of one of these meals.I think it would be good to have...
  10. Re: Did anyone suffer with plantar fasciatis prior to surgery?

I would consider surgery but I have no insurance. I think that's the only way to get rid of them. My son (5) tells me "that's not a cool way how you walk down the stairs". I know! I know! Nothing...
  11. Re: Did anyone suffer with plantar fasciatis prior to surgery?

I have lost 100 lbs and while my problems with plantars fascinitis come and go, for the past month I have been in agony. I have to walk like an idiot when I get up. (Like Lurch). I have to go down...

Inspiring! I have lost almost the same amount as you and when I see people I haven't seen in a while, I wonder if they can notice. I04 lbs is a lot. I am not saying I need people to notice (because I...

Re: Hungarian Goulash 25 gm protein

Sounds like a nice break from straight up beef, chicken and turkey; which is all I eat. I wish my kids (4 & 5) weren't so picky- I'd be all over healthy recipes like this. Thanks for sharing.

Re: NOOOO where have all the boobies gone!!!

I am tired of big breasts. I either want to get small athletic ones (and finally be able to golf) or some new high, plastic ones. I've been tethered to expensive minimizers and bras since I was a D...

Re: Quite depressed no weight loss :(

This happened to me and it happens to everyone. So much so, that I think many people roll their eyes at these posts now. In the beginning, it's hard to be doing everything right and see no weight...
  17. Re: 4 days post op - eating cream of wheat with protien powder

Congrats to you. It sounds like things are going well for you. I loved the spirometer. I left feeling my lungs were in such a great shape. Your post is a reminder to use it!

Re: ugh one of those days with food..

I have had a day like that too. Of course I prefer the low hunger days where a pslice of turkey and a piece of cheese fills and sates me.

    Re: Breasts

Of course, but building up your pectorals as you are losing weight will definitely help with the shape of your breasts, especially if you are young(ish).

    Re: Breasts

You have to do exercises and build your pectoral muscles. These are easy to do, you can do them anywhere, with weights or solo. Pushups against a door frame. Just get going!!!

    Stomach tightening and toning

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has used any sort of band device around their midsection? I have an area above my waist that just feels floppy and flabby. I know to do sit ups and toning exercises....
