  3. Re: Vacation Eating. Especially if you're a foodie. Ex. WDW. Questions post sleeve.

That is a whole lot of worrying about eating! LOL - Which is completely normal :o It's normal to panic just before surgery. For a little while after surgery (the length of time varies from person to...

    Re: weight loss trend.

The sleeve tends to result in a 10 lbs. per month average loss. It may be slightly higher for people who start out in a higher weight bracket or if there is a lot of exercise. I personally had lost...

Re: Scared that I wont succeed :/

I think everyone goes through the fear that the surgery won't work for them. I think we are programmed this way from years of failed diet attempts and it's hard to imagine something that finally...
  7. Re: Ohhh you are big enough for surgery.....*CLICK IN*

Our numbers are almost identical... I was 260 pounds when I started the process. I am also 5'6", was very busty (44F). I heard the same comments. I went through with it almost a year ago and now I am...

    Re: Out of control...depressed

I drink from a straw. I also eat a lot of "danger" foods now too. But I didn't really indulge in these things like I do until I reached goal. I really think the movement (exercise) is most important...

    Re: Help is this normal?

How much do you have to lose? If its less, than its not unusual for it to come off a little slower. 30lbs is still a great accomplishment. If you've experienced a stall, that may make it seem slow....
  15. Re: Anyone ever try 'New whey liquid protein' ?

Both can be bought on drugstore.com.... some flavors of the wafer bars can be bought at Walmart (Triple Chocolate, Vanilla and Peanut Butter Creme) others are easier found online (PB Fudge, Cookies &...
  16. Re: Anyone ever try 'New whey liquid protein' ?

Couple things.... your body can only absorb 30g of protein per hour, so I'm weary to begin with of anything containing more than that. The second thing is after researching these many months ago I...

I had my gallbladder out at the same time and my surgery was $32,000!!!! I had to pay $20... very grateful for great health insurance as well. I also had no co-morbs, strictly BMI for me. I can't...

    Re: Old Habits Die Hard

Hey Girl, first of all stop beating yourself up! This surgery fixes our stomachs and not our heads. I still eat some pretty shitty things and some of them in true VOLUME! None of us are perfect......

    Re: Protein?

This early... it's tough. My doc's didn't have us worry about shakes for the first 7 days, just staying hydrated. Try Premier Protein shakes though, they are MUCH better than anything else I tried....
  21. Re: At 7 weeks out - Conference for work eating?

I absolutely LOVE Power Crunch Bars (especially the triple chocolate) They have 13-14g protein and only 4g of sugar. Soooo good, lightweight and only $1.28 each at Walmart or you can get a good prove...

    Re: OMG!!! Totally blew it!!

No, it's unlikely that your surgeon will know since you are still 9 days from surgery. But it's important that you not sabotage yourself as you get closer to your surgery date. I know that it is...
