Every surgeon is different. My BMI was 35 pre-op and I was on a two week liquid diet of protein shakes.
Thank you for the ideas. After Thanksgiving I am going to give some of these a try. I have been stuck in a rut and that leads to wanting to eat things that are not good for me.
Seems my snacks never vary. It's always a cheese stick or almonds. Anyone have any good low carb snack ideas?
Lettuce is something I have missed too. Thinking aobut having a nice chicken salad next week. We'll see how it goes down.
That will depend on what your doc says. I was over 6 weeks out before I could eat regular food. You don't want to hurt that new stomach.

I agree with the others about losing some of the carbs. Try eating some pureed protein instead of the baked potato. If I get hungry at night I eat a 1/2 c of cottage cheese or a piece of string...
