Re: Bold question, but i have to know!!!

How long to wait? Depends if you have a private room or not.
Everything else? Losing the weight makes everything better including sex.

Here is a link to a very long tread at Thinner Times that...

Re: riding my bike after surgery

My doctor said I would feel better long before the "got" better. A week isn't much healing time. His biggest restriction was no heavy lifting. (Not that I do much heavy lifting anyway.) I would be...

Re: Where to get financial help to pay for Sleeve?

I know that seem like a lot of money when things are tight. If insurance is paying anything, perhaps whoever the co-pays go to can arrange for payments.
My wife has remarked many times how the food...

    Re: Calling all Old Timers!!

I had a heck of a time adding back calories to stay in my maintenance range. Really track your protein and not just calories.

Re: RECOMMEND please a protein powder

    I like
GNC Pro PerformanceŽ 100% Whey Protein -

20g protein, 130 calories. Easy to blend. I like the banana and also the caramel chocolate.
I sometimes add banana and frozen strawberries.

Re: Waiting for the call back on my TT

Update. Still another office visit next Tuesday. I'm hoping this is the last one
as the other doctor's have signed off their approval.
I'm shooting for maybe 4/21 but I will settle for any date in...

    Re: Eating

First, shrimp is pretty dense. I am surprised how few shrimp will do it for me.
Rolls and bread are best avoided, especially early on.
Smells are incredible. My sense of smell has gone through some...

    Re: Weight Loss

18 pounds in 21 days is not slow.
It is very difficult to compare weight loss between
different people. My experience is 2 pounds a week,
maybe 3 some weeks is great progress.

    Re: Roller Coasters

For me one of the great joys of the weight loss was being able to go to
Disney World and ride all the rides I didn't fit on before. As long as you
avoid heavy lifting and straining I don't think it...

BBM, Carbs are important in every stage, including maintenance. Nice thing is

Diane. Did you have another sleep study or was your doctor

  14. Re: Unable to eat more than 2 tablespoons of anything

Sandy. You got some good answers. I recommend you get a digital scale (we use a
WW one) and measuring cups. I use a 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup measure often. I also
have some 1/2 cup bowls that help give...

Your doctor allows pizza at 3 weeks out? Do you understand
just how much healing your stomach is doing? Not judging,
    but just be careful.

Andrew, I am so sorry for your loss. Words fail me.
Thanks for taking the time to share your loss and
Gerry's story. Who knows you might have saved someone
    else by sharing it.

2 shakes and 3 meals sounds like a lot until
I explain what my sleever meal consists of.
I think it has to do with blood sugars and
keeping my body using the right fuels.
    For me the food scale...

    Re: Hi everone!!

No soda for me. I used to drink diet Coke, but now if I
take a sip it tastes terrible. I think you received good
advice to avoid it at least for a good while.
  20. Re: Does anyone wish they never had their sleeve?

Lost my band, got sleeved. No weight gain, continued loss.
Friend lost her band. Gained 70 pounds, always hungry.

No regrets. I am very thankful the sleeve was an option
    Made available to me.

Re: Just over weight not obese! Whooo hooo!

My wife has a Zumba class after work one day a week.
We got the wii version as well. It is fun and she is pretty
Good at it. I don't get a whole lot of green points,
    But it is fun.
