I am still a little low on energy but it is getting better each day. Of course, it might help if I exercised a little(LOL) but I will get around to that soon. Still, this is the best thing I could...
Congrats on the re-start! I am stalled too but it will be great to get going again.
The pre-op and post-op liquids really helped me loose quickly. Now it is slower going but I'll take a pound or two here and there as long as it is in the negative direction!
Your body will "stall" at points along the way as it adjusts to the amount of calories you are taking in. I have had a few since surgery but after a week I start loosing again. As my Doc said,...
Don't be afraid to see the doctor. It is probably something that can easily be cured. Good luck!
Mine didn't really hurt. It was weird feeling and a little uncomfortable. I did not expect him to pull out as much as he did however!
I had a full head of hair two months ago!! LOL
It will be the best thing you can do for yourself! Sometimes you need that eye opening moment to nudge you along. Good luck.
I have 6 holes. One was the drain which was "yanked out" a week after surgery!
At 56 and after this surgery, I feel I have a new lease-on-life. I am going to make the best of it! I am still on pureed food until next week and it really isn't that bad, especially since I am...
Glad you are doing better now. It will be a an unpleasant memory very soon!
Good Luck Dave! It will be over soon.
What ToDream said! I'm two weeks post op and I am not ever hungry. I eat now only because I know I have to. Hard to describe......I did not ever think I would not be hungry. Makes me happy because...
Nervous and scared are acceptable human reactions to major surgery. As long as you have confidence in your Doc and that you will do what is needed to be done for a good recovery should ease those...
Good luck! You can do it, just keep your eye on the prize! LOL
Just eating baby-food right now. Have a magic bullet coming in the mail today so I will start experimenting with regular food. I know my Doc said you have to add A LOT of liquid to get that baby-food...
My wife went out and got some different ones. Last night I had beef and gravy with a side of carrots. 7g of protein in that 2.5oz beef and gravy. I have baby oatmeal as well but I haven't tried it...
My nutritionist has baby food in the plan I got from her. She said it is easier sometimes than having to prepare real food. Also, they are just the right size ounce wise so not a lot of waste....
Feeling pretty good. Diet-wise,I just started pureed foods yesterday but like everyone else, spend alot of time getting fluids and the protein in. Thanks for asking.
Beech-nut baby food Heaven baby!!!!!!That's what I'm talking about! LOL;)
That is what I am experiencing. Liquid in - liquid out! I started my pureed diet yesterday so maybe it will change.
I love when that happens!
Hello Sandy. Welcome back.
All I had to do is walk, which I did the evening of surgery and next day in the hospital. Worked for me. Most all gas was gone w/i 2 days after surgery.
Sorry about the bump in the road! Murphy's Law rearing it's ugly head. Keep your chin up!
I go see Doc this afternoon and hopefully get the drain out. Can't wait to see what other "news" he has...
