It sounds like a good time!
I bought a kids hula hoop pre-op, and oh my, not sure how I did it when I was younger :) It definitely works the upper legs and core, a good cardio. I think I need to get one of those weighted ones...
Very normal, do a search on here "week 3 stall" and you will be amazed how normal it is and happens to everyone. Keep doing what your doing and it will work!
Thanks Loki for the great post. I had the surgery a day before you and the exact starting weight. I too have lost 50 lbs. I am happy with my decision. I have concentrated on the forever lifestyle...
Last week I did stand up paddle boarding. I never really wanted to do it because I didn't think I could stand straight up from a kneeling postion and then back down, etc. I happy to say I tackled...
Trust me, your new tummy will not let you overeat! It is so strange the amount you can consume now in one setting compared to before, actually hard to compare what we were able to eat pre-sleeve,...
Each dr. has their own guidelines. Sometimes I have to do what is right for me, knowing the guidance but I make the decision. Ibuprofen in Advil is not good on the stomach lining if taken...
Yep, this week was that time of the month. I have taken 2 pills, 3 different times. It seems to kick in a lot faster but I haven't noticed any other side affects. I have only needed to take them...
Congrats and don't push yourself too fast....your so right, each day gets better!
I did for the exact same reason!!! Nothing else works for me during that time.
Many will post, with that intense of exercise and the body's need for energy, you need to get in at least 800 calories per day, especially at 17 weeks out. Are you getting at least 60 grams of...
Did the hospital send you home with the compression stockings? Are you up and walking around, and if so does it subside during this time? So soon after surgery I would be concerned about the blood...
My sister took to me to one of my favorite places. Had a couple of bloody mary's, raw oysters and then a fried shrimp po-boy on the best french breach ever. Glad I did it, definitely can't eat that...
I have been wondering the same exact thing. I have my yearly physical with PCP on Monday and I plan on getting his thoughts on this also. Good Luck!
I had a special day during my pre-op phase where I had a couple of drinks and even a couple of beers. Just don't over do it
I had my first try at wine/alcohol 4 weeks post op. The place I was at only had red wine, and like BBarb, it burned and did not sit well and I had only 3 tiny sips. I decided to try a vodka drink! ...
Thanks for the quick study of beer. I was wondering why instead of burping like a used to when drinking beer, it is the other end :) I do miss the beer, I still have one/one 1/2 about every 2...
I do the same thing as Chunz, took me a while to accept the water part of Crystal Light and Vodka but figured it was just like club soda without bubbles, LOL
I have stairs in my house my first weekend after surgery, I was home by myself. Took them very slow and not as often as pre-surgery, no problems.
Yes it does happen but not to everyone. At the same days post-op as you are, they would wake me up in the middle of the night. What worked for me was drinking a half a cup of skim of milk before I...
Sounds like a great day to me! Good for you!
I never saw anything post -op about not taking them, it was only pre-op. I have taken ibuprofen a couple of times for that time of the month and a couple of headaches. I learned a few years back...
Same here, haven't taken them in a while, once I started eating regular foods. I am suppose to have bloodwork also but haven't.
Been wrestling the the same exact thing this past week. It is good that it is a tool for portion control and one setting, but I have been finding myself working around that which is an old behaviour...
I wore my regular bras. The small one that is center high is about 2.5 inches down from my bra band. I am a 40 DDD to help gauge. Good Luck!
