I'm not planning on getting preg lol
But I am wondering if there are restrictions and recommendations regarding this?
Has anyone gotten preg after the sleeve, how was it?
Most docs say wait at least a year. You need time for your body to heal and become adjusted to the rapid weightloss. You won't be able to take in enough nutrients for the little one while still losing weight.
People do skip that advice, some intentionally and some accidentally.
The medical advice I've seen online is to wait 18 - 24 months post-op before becoming pregnant. The reasons for waiting are obvious.
For some reason, WLS seems to increase women patients' chances of becoming pregnant, likely due to hormone fluctuations. Therefore, doctors urge WLS patients and their partners to use additional forms of birth control.

I got pregnant at 15 months post surgery and it SUCKED!!! I had that hypoeschemia ( I cant spell that just sounded it out) that makes you have morning sickness ALL THE TIME THE ENTIRE TIME. My stomach hurt trying to teat and I threw up all day long my doctors were worried about my son because when i got to about 7 months he stopped growing for a little bit and i had to force myself to eat more and more just to get enough for him mentally that was terrible. I had no idea they were so worried about him because they didnt say anything till after i had him but he was in the 1% on the growth charts at one point while i was pregnant and I am guessing that might be why he is so tiny still. (almost 18 months old and 19 lbs. ) He is healthy but small. As for my body personally I feel if I had waited till about 3 years out I may have had a much better experience but who knows really since that didnt happen. That pregnancy did however make me realize with the way i have to eat now i cant go threw another pregnancy and i went and had a hystorectomy a few weeks ago so that doesnt happen anymore. I just cant handle any of the physical tolls it takes on me to have a baby again my body has to heal now :0
i was told a year and half to two years i dont want another kid so i take every precaution in the world lol i just dont think i could handle that right now
