pain in left side.
I had my sleeve done 15 days ago and I am doing good except for the pain in my left side. Does everyone still have pain there at this point? It gets worse as the day goes on until I lay down. It feels like something is pulling down in there. Also feels like a runners cramp. Is this normal at this stage:confused:

Re: pain in left side.
I had it on the right for the past week, I'm sure it's the muscle where they went in, I pulled it or stretched it. Today I feel fine but I'm going to see my doc anyway, she's going to give me a rath for overdoing it at the gym. Sounds like the same thing, when I would lay down no pain , so I rulled out that I had hurt my stumic. But I'm no doctor so better safe then sorry!

Re: pain in left side.
I have the same issue with pain on both sides when I am up & moving around. During my first post-op my doc said it was normal and that I was healing. The right said was because of the tool they use to go in and he said it could have touched some nerves and they are now healing. That's also where they took my stomach out. It's not a constant pain but when it does bother me and I don't want to take a pain pill I have been using my heating pad which really helps. If you don't feel right and are concerned give your doc a call. That's what they are there for. And it will make you feel better and not stress out too.

Re: pain in left side.
It will cost nothing to call/email your doc/the bariatric surgeon on call, midnight; that'll give you peace of mind and IME they get back to you pretty quickly. It's probably nothing serious but you don't really want people on the Internet making the final diagnosis, do you?

Re: pain in left side.
Went to my 2 week postopp. Dr said everything is great didn't seem concerned about the pain. Put me on stage 3 foods and told me I can exercise now. Been in a little stale for a few days I am not sure why but it has to start coming off soon.

Re: pain in left side.
Easy on the excersing I hurt myself and now em on the sideline waiting for that stumic muscle to heal. I also saw my surgeon yesterday. Your doing great, I know we all want it now, just take baby steps forward. You don't want to be sitting on the side line it sucks!

Re: pain in left side.
Glad it was nothing, midnight! I had a pain on my left side from the day of surgery till about a week after I got home. Resting and gentle exercise (walking, not being woken up every 3 hours for heparin shots) seemed to do the best. And the walking made my energy rebound, so I did more.

Re: pain in left side.
I had no pain at all. Had my follow up appointment yesterday and PA said don't do any major lifting etc., which I never do, but I am foster two small doggies and I've lifted them a few times so of course now I hurt. I probably pulled something or somewhere along those lines. So, I will try and be gingerly from here on, but these dogs and so afraid they don't move anywhere on their own!

Re: pain in left side.
I had pain on both left and right side, particularly my right side. Would grab like heck, I asked at my two week checkup what was this about. Surgeon said it was due to muscles, stitches there to support same and to prevent a hernia. This has gradually subsided, still get occasional twinge, but its to be expected. Cant wait to be six months down the track and see how and where I am then. Cheers. :)
