I am 10 days post op and have lost 21 lbs. I started on my purees this evening. I had black beans with a wedge of laughing cow cheese thrown in. OMG it tasted good. 2 weeks of protein shakes is about all i could take!! I've been feeling really good. Went to the park 2 times today with my dog. I am sooo glad i got my sleeve!!! :D

I cannot make up my mind deciding what surgery I want to have. I have been on the preop 6 month supervised diet plan and I
have 4 months left before I can have the surgery. I wanted the lap band initially , but i think the sleve fits my lifestyle better. Can you give me any guidance to how you chose the sleve?
Molly, I am 2 weeks post op and started pureed foods today as well! I also had black beans with a small piece of cheese melted in! I was in heaven! Great minds think alike!

I've been loving the pureed pinto and black beans as well! Try it with some pureed mild salsa, too. Yum! For a complete meal, I puree a few spoonfuls of beans as a side dish with fat free sour cream and fat free cheddar and a little pureed chicken combined with salsa as the entree. It's like my own Mexican night!
