weight gain
has anyone gained weight right after surgery? my scales have always run about 2lbs heavier then the doctors scales. so when i left my house for the hospital i weighed 223 and at the hospital i weighed 219, the next day after surgery when i got home my scales read 230 could i have really gained 7lbs in just a day of surgery? today on day 4 i am down to 220 on my scales.

Its all the fluid/IV's they pump you up while in surgery and so forth. It will flush out over the next few days. Congrats on your surgery!

Try not to weigh yourself everyday, but maybe once a week to be able to track your progress.

It's common because of the IV fluids, etc. I gained 6 pounds during my hospital stay .. It will come off easy ... No need to worry!

Yes, a good majority of people gain some from the gas pumped into you, anesthesia & the IV fluids. It is totally normal. Congratualtions and good luck with your sleeve. :)

Completely normal... mine starting coming off in the 2nd week home... I'm 2 weeks out today!

Yep, I gained 13 lbs in 2 days from the IV fluids. My shoes didn't fit; couldn't get my wedding ring back on for almost 2 weeks. I felt 9 months pregnant I was so swollen. It's very common.
