Strep throat, UTI, and Mono - any advice
Hello everyone. I was diagnosed a couple days ago with Strep, mono, and a UTI. I am very sick. I have been to the hospital once already for IV fluids, potassium, and antibiotics. I am struggling to stay hydrated and slowly losing that battle. I am trying to sip sip sip but it hurts not just in my throat but the whole way down and makes me nauseaus. I had my VSG on 03/01/12. Does anyone have any advice right now on staying hydrated or anything that may help. I am so miserable. The plus side is that I have officially lost 1/2 of my extra weight this week. I have lost 59 lbs and I have 59 lbs to go. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Oh poor thing! Good grief! What a combination. Take your meds, drink plenty of liquids -- what about chicken broth? Please feel better soon! Whast did they say at the hospital?

Don't hesitate to go BACK to the hospital! IV fluids may still be what you need.
