I've managed to drink two protein shakes each day, water and jello. I feel pretty weak lately and pain is not too bad. There are two things I am curious about:
1. Is it normal that have not had a bowel movement yet? I don't even have a feeling of pressure or anything.
2. My vision is blurred when looking at things up close. Kaiser says it is the nausea patch, and I removed it yesterday. They say my vision will return to normal so I'm not too worried about that. It is annoying though.
Hope you have a speedy recovery. #2 I have not idea about but #1 is pretty normal. With only liquids going in there isn't much to go out. It was day 5 for me but once I had the feeling I make a mad dash for the bathroom but still left a trail (sorry TMI). It will take a while for you system to get back to normal and then when you start eating actual food you may experience constipation. Just one of the joys of the sleeve. The sleeve take some getting used to but will be worth it in the end. Happy Holidays
I am 8 days post open and just had my first today. Multiple times. So yes it is normal. Good luck with the vision problems.
If you get concerned about not having bowel movements dont let your body get impacted because i went through that and it was terrible. If you get concerned or think that might be whats happening try taking stool softeners like one or two a day for the next few days I started that but i dont think i started it soon enough.
I had to start takin Miralax ... My vision was blurred for almost 5 - 6 days ... It was anytime I was texting or trying to read thats when i really could notice ... My dr said it was from the patch ... Good look
My first BM was about 4-5 days in, and then it was ...... interesting. Not very firm shall we say. Within about 2 weeks BM was regular and fairly normal, slight constipation due to less fibre and less fluid I guess (I've always struggled to get fluids in). So I drank a fig juice concentrate every day for a couple of weeks. No problems since then.
Hope your vision clears up soon.
you need to take an anal suppository. you could develop impacted bowels. very painful like giving birth.
