My success story
I was humungous! And I mean that nicely. I was around 320 lbs, for most of my adult life, having peaked at 340-350 lbs. My doctor suggested this great procedure for me, and I weighed around 310 lbs. for my pre-op consultation.
When I checked out, I was done to 305 lbs. A month after, it was 290 lbs.
I had my surgery in September 2009, and now am down to 243 lbs.
My goal is to hit 200 lbs by September of this year. I know it sounds crazy, but I think am on a roll!

Congrats. Stay focused and you will get there. Keep us updated.

First of all congratulations!
I think it bears no mention, but losing more than 100 lbs in a year is kinda staggering. My own weight loss dream would have been capped at 30lbs. Am being realistic, but I do hope I'd be able to do it like you did!
Are you on a diet and exercise regimen or something?
But i agree this is a great weight loss surgery!

Congrats!! I hope I have the same results! I've been on this journey for almost a yr now and in two weeks I get my surgery date and I can't wait. :D
Just some questions...Do you get a lot of acid reflux? If so, do you take any medication for it? I keep hearing so many mixed stories but I haven't heard anything from someone so succsessfull as you. Thanks;)

Congratulations! I am so glad to hear that the surgery is working out for you and I hope that you meet your September goal! Keep up the good work!

Re: My success story
I get acid reflux pretty often. It would be under better control if I was more consistent with my meds, but that's just really my own doing.

Well done Pink, this is a fabulous achievement and definitely a good role model for the rest of us.
Way to go!

Re: My success story
What made you decide for this surgery and not lap band? How do you feel when you eat? Are you afraid of stretching your sleeve? Do you feel full? How are your cravings? What is your relationship with food now?
I am meeting with the surgeon next week.
