Unhappy
I have read many times on here the frustrations felt by those who have been faced with stalls...I now understand this...I have been on a stall for three weeks. I make it into onederland and hit that brick wall. I know they are inevitable but still a disappointment!!!!

Re: Unhappy
I totally understand your frustration. I'm losing at a snail's pace, but trying to stay positive. It IS coming off, instead of gaining, which I've been doing for 10 yrs. Hang in there and stay with the program...you're doing great!

Re: Unhappy
Yes, I got to a stall now for a week and I hit it just 2 weeks after I was sleeved. Frustrating.
However, Eventually, your body will move on. It is usually that you must have weighed about that much at one time, and your body is remembering this setpoint. If you keep on doing what you're doing, eventually your body will get the message. Sometimes you need to "re flilp the switch." For instance, do something to shock your body like eat more calories 2 days out of the week then drop it back down. Or increase your exercise a bit if you can.
But from everything I've read, the body eventually moves on. I don't think anyone can continue on with just 1100 calories a day and not lose weight.
That is nearly impossible.
Good Luck and keep on truckin.

That is a great video clip with Dr. Alvarez. He's a good-looking man! :) Brains AND good looks--his wife is a lucky woman! :)
Chele, we had surgery on the same day! You are doing GREAT! You are in One-derland! Have you ever lost this much weight so quickly in your life? I know I haven't! The scale will move again. Big hugs!!

Depends on your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). If yours is 850, you'd actually gain weight on 1100 calories a day unless it's offset by exercise. That's very low, and not typical of everyone, but I had my RMR lower from 1450 to 1000 after 1 year of dieting, currently it's at 850-1788 depending on whether I am able to exercise or perform daily activities. It actually worries me b/c I know I won't be doing a lot of activity after I'm sleeved although I will of course try to walk. I have mobility problems that sometimes make this difficult.
Getting your RMR tested when your weight loss is slowing down is something that I'd recommend to everyone, takes the guesswork out.

Re: Unhappy
And check your clothes sizes! I got down to size 14 about 2-3 months ago, at about 160 pounds.. I made it down to about 148 and STILL wore size 14... I then stalled out - this month I have only lost 2-3 pounds, with about 3 weeks being nothing. But I found out yesterday that despite still wearing those same 14s that I think of STILL as a little tight on me, I can actually very comfortably now wear a size 10! I bought a pair of 10 jeans months ago and couldnt get them past my hips... every few weeks I try them on and last time I tried (about a month ago), I could lay down and barely button them but no breathing or standing! Now they slide on! And for fun I tried on an 8 yesterday at the store and it fit! Slightly tighter than I normally wear but not the laying down kind! So even with only 2-3 pounds lost in over 30 days, I dropped from 14 to nearly 8! Its crazy and looking in the mirror I dont see it and was getting discouraged.
Go find a pair of jeans or pants you know you couldnt wear a month ago and try them on! Or get a new pair now that is too tight for you - try them on one day every week and see if there is a difference. I need to get out the tape measure but am lazy about that.
The body is weird... just gotta roll with it sometimes! Do what you can, but if you are already doing all you can just keep it up and things will move one way or another!
