Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
I am 6 days out and so over this sleeve. I lost 19 lbs and that's it. Hopefully I didn't endure all this pain for only 19lbs.
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
Hi I started at my highest weight 283. The date of surgery I weighed 267. On month 2 I weighed 234. Tomorrow is month 3 for me and I weigh 224.
So month 2 I had lost 33 pounds since surgery date. I have had a total of 3 weeks of stalls while my body adjusted and would start losing again. I hope this helps.
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
Ok girls, give your body some time to catch up with your weight loss. It doens't happen over night, and you need to be patient and let your sleeve do it's job. I am 5 months out today and 62 lbs down, you will lose and then "stall" your body needs time to adjust to all the changes. Even when you aren't actively losing lbs, you will be losing inches. Your body is just doing what it does.
When have you even lost this much weight on a few weeks? The beauty is that is is gone forever.
Follow your plan, and it will work! Don't get discouraged and give up!
Best wishes to you all

Sleeve2412,
You had your surgery 51 days ago according to your ticker and you have lost 25 pounds. That is 1/2 pound a day. That is fantastic! Could you have lost that much without the sleeve? It is all in how you look at it.
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
I am almost 2 months out and I have lost 32 lbs. 18 in the first 2 weeks and then about 2lbs er week since, I know it feels slow but hang in there it didnt come on overnight and it wont come off that way. I try to tell myself that it is another 2lbs that I will never gain back. I had a couple stalls for a week but the next week I would lose 4 lbs so dont get discouraged. Put your scales away and commit to only weighing once a week. Also measure yourself because I have lost inches and we seem to only measure lbs. It is funny that if we were just dieting we would be happy with a couple lbs but since the surgery we expect a miracle. Good luck
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
Today I began my 3rd month, having had my surgery on May 1st. I am down 32.4 lbs as of this morning, on my scale and that's the one I really go by, not the doctor's scale. Everyone is so different. I too did not have any pre-op diet but I am thrilled I've lost this much. When you do average it out over the time since surgery, it is alot for the body to give up and handle. My dr. said some lose alot of weight at the beginning then taper off, some just lost steadily throughout that whole first year or so, perhaps not even alot at one time, but in the end, it all evens out for everyone. Be patient and your body will do what it wants when it wants to, no matter how much we fret. Enjoy the journey and this is for a lifetime.
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
I will be 2 months thursday the 5Th, I am down approximately 37 lbs. Most of that came the first 5 weeks. The last few weeks has been a pound per week! But that is ok, it gives our body time to catch (including skin). Enjoy this journey! Remember you didnt gain it all over night! If you go 40 miles into the woods, you must come 40 miles out! We just have a wonderful tool to help us no short cuts!
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
I'm 1.5 months out and at 30 pounds. Everyone is different and I feel that 25 lbs is SUCCESS! The weight is going to come off...keep up your protein and make sure you are moving daily. :-) Best of luck1!!
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
I am 2 months out. I weighed 270 llbs day of surgery and now weigh 205. I have had issues with nausea and vomiting though. You shoulld be proud of your weight loss.
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
I have lost a few more pounds on a per day basis, but since I weighed more to begin with, it is proportionally about the same for me. I feel happy with 2-3 pounds per week, because of skin, muscle and gall bladder considerations.
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
Thanks Ladies ... your posts are really encouraging but I just keep getting the felling that I am moving on a tortoise's pace ... everyone who's 2 months out is above the 30lb mark and i am still strughling at 25 :(
Can anyone give me some tips or their daily regimes so I can give that a try and convince my body to start shedding ... I am just too scared of not losing and reaching my goal weight cos I do know people who have only lost 50 odd lbs in 8 months ... I dont want to be one of those ! REALLY ! I have a phobia of hospitals and getting the surgery done was a major step for me after trying every possible diet in the past.
Pls. help !
Re: Any 2 month old sleevers out there????
You have a lot less to lose than most, but just follow the rules and you will be ok. No drinks with the meal 30 minutes before and after, eat slow, take time between bites, protein first, 3 meals a day and 2 snacks, vitamins and supplements, and exercise. I am a big guy and it is hard for me to get 800 calories per day if I don't cheat!
