Well it has been 1 month today and I am 30lbs lighter and feel great. The first week was a bit hard but well worth it. I was a bit frightened at the clinic because it was so very small and because I do not speak Spanish but it was really fine though. I was glad I met my friend Gizelle there and she took great care of me the first night. Had it not been for her, I would have been in bad shape. After the first night though, I was very sleepy and hungry but other than that, fine. I am very encouraged by the clothes I am able to fit into now and that gives me the incentive I need to keep on going. I felt very hopeless before the surgery so for me it was the right thing to do. My appetite is way down and my skin looks great. Good luck to all who is having this done or who has already done it. We are worth it. Truly.

Surgery on the 13th. Day 2 of liquid diet at Disney World. Yuck. The sights and smells are tempting but I have to remember I have eaten enough for 2 people for a long time. I had my fun. I will share my experience as soon as I am able. Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and support. Whether we like it or not, there is a definite stimatism to being overweight/obese. I have wondered what it might feel like to not have that inferior feeling for many years. I wonder if I am doing the right thing. My husband and children love me anyway fat or skinny. Hmmmm? This is something I am doing for me though and if for no other reason than just my health and dignity. I will post my experience good or bad.
