weight loss

I have been hovering around 250ish for over a year, with my bmi and age graded, according to my doc I am not but 50lbs or so over, but the esteem issue knowing I can practically carrying the extra weight of a large tire. I have ran (marathons and longer) and all the training that goes with it (slow, but got done) killing my knees, but no real weight loss to speak of. If I am averaging 35+ miles a week and taking diet pills and eating nothing but fruit and veges I can manage a 13 lb loss or so,
