Rob, thanks for reaching out to me. It will be 4 weeks tomorrow for, I have lost 20#. Feel good, still adjusting to not being able to eat much or drink much. I had a great experience in Mexico....the Dr, staff, hotel, it was awesome, thank God!! A friend of mine from Los Angeles went with me, our hotel room was nice, the service was wonderful. How are you doing? This is my first day on the site since surgery....whew!!

Hey you, Whazzz up???? I'm doing fairly well. Down 34 pounds as of last Saturday. Not speedy but a looser non the less :-) I feel pretty good and have had no ill effects to speak of. I have gotten a little down because of the 1-2 pound a week loss but I truly am alright with that, I have eaten till the puke point a couple of times (no not on purpose). I have a good amount of energy and don't really concern about what I eat. I eat well and always protein first and other than that it's pretty easy going. No problem drinking either. Have not tried to drink alcohol yet and think I will wait until it accidentally happens...LOL I do have a slight issue with eating slow enough and not drinking for 30 minutes but that is the extent of my issues. Well, issues related to the sleeve anyways...
So how about you, are you all skinny and feeling like a sexy teenage beast again???? Glad you hit me up, let me know how you are.

I have been in the hospital since march 1...so crappy. I am way better now. I had high white blood counts, horrible pain, couldn't drink even water until yesterday. The dr said I may get out tomorrow (sunday). The best thing about it all, my insurance doesn't have to pay a single penny of this week long stay and treatment if they do not feel like it. The worse part of self-pay treatments. If it comes down to it, I will quit my federal job, get my obamamamadontknowyourbabysdaddy handouts to get everything paid for, then go back to work within 3 years to keep my pay grade and rank, change insurances.... that easy. So, whatever...go ahead.
  11. I'm doing well now. Started puréed foods last week. 1/4 c at the most and I am stuffed! It is such a weird feeling. I am still having trouble getting enough fluids in. I have yet to meet my goal but am doing well with the protein. I definitely have to figure out what I can eat though because I don't think I can eat ricotta cheese for the next three weeks . I'm glad to hear you are doing well. Keep in touch!

all is going pretty well. Week one was tough but doing pretty great now. Weight is coming off fairly slow for me. I also broke every rule and started eating after the first week. I was having horrible stomach cramping and figured out is was hunger. I started on day 7 by mushing a few noodles from my chicken soup and eating that. Then pureed a minestrone soup. Since I have had all sorts of stuff. I did not do well at all on the liquid diet.
How about you, how you doing?
  13. Hi surgery buddy! How has the sleeve been treating you since the 19th?

Rob, please don't get dehydrated, sip, sip, sip!!! H2O is always a major thing, you can do soft foods later, but do the water, liquids, I heard warm liquids are better, tea, etc........continue to recuperate...Miss Jay

Doing Good!

by robsmith on 06-26-2013 at 11:17 PM
Had the Sleeve on 2/19/2013. Started out at 300lbs. My current weight is 208lbs. Total loss so far of 92lbs. Funny and sad when people you known forever don't recognize who you are until you say something to them... we will see what the future holds.

The step by step with Dr. Almanza in Mexico

by robsmith on 02-28-2013 at 02:58 PM
Here is my detailed step by step thus far:

I researched the crap out of the surgeries for weight loss. At first I was going to have the Lapband. weightloseagents.com suggested the Sleeve to me. I weighed 299 and looked awesome so I wasn't too worried..lol. Just worried about my health now that we have 5 kids ages 6-18.

I got my passport, cause I wanted to come home and all.

Set my surgery date and paid my deposit.

Talked to the agents via
