Thanks Pebbles! Thanks for the compliment! I track everything that I put in my mouth and I weigh myself each day. I keep the expectation that I should be losing between 3-5 per week. Yes, you are probably stalled out, which is not uncommon. I stalled out a few times and only lost a few pounds in a two-week period in time. Also, don't forget that I am a man which means that I lose weight a little easier because of my greater muscle mass. I will continue to pray for you. And, it is great that you and your hubby are talking more. Stay up and blessed!

Actually, I don't eat bread, pasta, rice or any other foods that might expand in the stomach when mixed with water. Yes, I do agree that it is difficult on a relationship or marriage. My wife does not compliment me either. I think that there might be some level of uneasiness that might not be talked about. I don't need to be complimented by her, which is probably a good thing. I just have appreciation for the others that support me. I will admit, I have not told anyone outside of my boss that I had elective weight loss surgery. I don't eat around others, because I think that they might notice that I am not eating much of anything and wonder why. I can only imagine how difficult it must be you. Things will get better. I would encourage you to ask him how he feels about your weight loss and does he understand why you have made this life-altering decision? I will keep you in my prayers.

My wife feels just like your husband. We actually had a disagreement because I don't fixate on eating anymore. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about what I am going to eat and how much I am going to eat. So, I seem somewhat disengaged about the whole 'eating' process. She does feel alone because we don't eat like we used to. Wow, you have had some tremendous success. That is wonderful! I feel anxious a lot of times. I weight myself each and every day, as I am so fixated on losing and not gaining weight. I am eating much healthier than I used to. I opt for healthier and low calorie snacks and meals. This is really around having a lifestyle change. Thanks so much for the exchanges and talk soon!

Well, I hope that he become more comfortable with your change can continues to be supportive. These times an be difficult for spouses, because they see a positive change in their partners and wonder if it means a change for the relationship. Sometimes, I suspect that think about themselves and how the sacrifice that we as WLS patients is a testament to our want/need to live a healthier life. My wife is doing fine. We just have to focus on other things outside of food, because my relationship with food has changed significantly.
