    Best wishes with your surgery!! I am low BMI as well (today I am 32.6), but remember we are ALL doing this to be healthier! Even if my insurance covered the sleeve (which it doesn't), I would have an extremely difficult time getting an approval in the states. So will be heading to Mexico as self-pay as well! Positive thoughts and prayers, and let us know how your recovery is going!

    Hi amandamay74 I remember when I went to the seminar in Miami, the surgeon informed those who BMI is under they would have to go through more approvals. I hope you find more people to relate with you Many Blessings to you

Hi everyone,

My best friend and I are scheduled on 9/2 with Dr. Almanza! Tons of questions... Should we stay in the recovery house and room together or stay at the Hotel Ticuan? Ive read that if you stay at the hotel, you will need to bring your own bandages and pain meds? Is that the case? Ive also read that the recovery house can be loud and that it's hard to rest with all the commotion?

Any advice, thoughts or shared experiences are greatly appreciated!
