    Hello, My name is Patricia Shanahan, and I am a sister in CA. I was looking for any Jehovah's Witnesses that had the surgery. I'm so glad I found you.
    Which one of you had the sleeve? Or did both of you? I will be having the surgery in August. Please let me know how you are doing.
    By the way, you both look really good in your picture.

    Marilyn! glad you are do so well with your weight loss. I've lost 16pounds. I got sick after eating the other day and had to go back to full liquids for two days. Now I feel better, had homemade soup( chicken potato and carrot) I just cooked the heck out of it! but it was good and went down fine well hope you start feeling better, keep up the weight loss

    Travis and Eugina: so good to hear you are both doing well. How was Eugina's first day back? I went back on Monday, but it was too soon. I left early on Tuesday and haven't been back since then. I'm losing weight really, really fast. I'm averaging 1.5 pounds a day. Starting yesterday, however, I began throwing up everthing I ate. It's leaving me weak. Also, I need to start cutting down on my blood pressure meds as I get very dizzy when I stand up. Keep in touch.

    Eugina's first day is today. I don't go back till the 7th. Lucky me. Been hard to get my protein down and have been getting tired also. We moved up to potato soup yesterday. Was good. Lot harder feeding the kids and not taking a bite. But still doing ok. Sorry only have limited internet on our phones so updates are slow. Will get better when I go back to work. User name on here is bigred_tl. Hers is Eugina_520. She is on my friend list. We are not weighing but on e a week also.

    Hey slim. We are still doing good. We didnt make it in til around 0130 this morning. The gas is gone she is having a little pain around the incision. Both if have lost about 20 lbs since the liquid diet started 2 weeks ago. Im just thirsty but crushed ice is helping. We are good that's for checking on us.

Looking forward to surgery on 4-22-12

I'm not at all nervous about the surgery. What does make me nervous is the doctor finding something that will rule out the surgery. I just made a trip to the doctor for asthma and had routine blood work done. Everything was fine. So why am I so nervous? I guess because I really, really want this surgery. I've spent so much money so far. It would kill me if I had to reschedule the surgery for some reason. I live in Nashville, TN, so just getting to San Diego is expensive. I just hope I qualify.
