hi I am 378, how long did the operation take? Is this a safe surgery for 400 lb people?
  2. Hi,

I needed my gallbladder out I had a large stone and my gallbladder was huge and filled with what my Dr called sludge. I was also a self pay but my insurance covered the gallbladder surgery so it helped to make the sleeve surgery about half price.

If you have more question please feel free to ask, I'm happy to help.

    Good luck,
    Sabrina

Thank you for your posts! Very real and informative
I was just wondering if you needed your gallbladder out, or if it was done out of precaution. I'm a self pay, and I definitely don't want my insurance coming back on me to charge me for a gallBladder surgery after I've already paid for the sleeve surgery-
    Thank you in advance
  4. Thanks Sonia, I'm afraid saggy skin just comes with weight loss ... oh well, I would rather have it sag than carry around all that extra weight.

Hey Fluffy! Girl I didn't know who you were before. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL! Girl we'll all be fine. We don't want to lose too much too quickly, during the plateau stages we are to be sure we're doing what we should be doing to avoid that access skin & exercise. ( You know I suck 'cuz I have to always double check the spelling of the work 'exercise'. Hahaha... really... Muah!
  6. I lost 54 pounds before surgery and 6 after.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine.

  8. That's good to hear, I'm sure you are feeling better without it. I didn't have a drain but did have a pain pump that was removed yesterday and glad to have that gone although I'm hurting a little more today.

Am I crazy. Anyone on here have an easy time drinking a few days out of surgery? I hope so and I hope your having success loosing.
