- Sleeved or not sleeved:
- I have had a gastric sleeve.
- Biography:
- I'm a 44 year old (step) mother of 2 boys-- ages 17 and 15. Being that their biological mother is deceased I'm their "Mom" and they keep me VERY busy. In fact, they are one of the main reasons I decided to finally have WLS. I can't stand the thought of them having to bury another mother while so young. I have a very stressful job that deals with many of the health problems caused be being over weight. I work in the organ transplant department and most of our patients are in need of a kidney and/or pancreas due to diabetes and/or high blood pressure. And to be totally honest, I was just diagnosed as Type II Diabetic. The high blood pressure presented itself several years ago. I didn't want to be in need of my own services. So began my journey......

Well, here it is a week later and I'm torn as to what to do???? After hitting a MAJOR stall, like for the past 5 weeks, I decided to concentrate on doing what I know I'm supposed to do: eat the right things---concentrating on protein, trying to get enough water to ensure I'm not dehydrated (cuz I really was quite on the verge of being seriously dehydrated), keeping track of calories consumed, increasing activity, and staying on top of all the vitmains I'm supposed to take.
