Hi Crystal! How are you doing? Are you getting back to the craziness of everyday life? All is good here. Every day I learn something new...like not eating too quickly or what is not going to agree with the new stomach ;-) But I am thrilled it is done and the weight is coming off!! No worries... I appreciate your honesty. I would rather be informed than surprised! I sent a long message to Louise and I will be a squeaky wheel and hopefully things will be a little different for me. I don't have anyone coming with me so I will have to stay at the recovery house. I'll just have to suck it up and sleep when I get home. I will have the weekend to rest before going back to work.

Thank you for your honesty. Now I am scared. I am going to talk to the Patient Liasion woman, Louise, to explain these issues to her and see what she can do about this. Toradol doesn't work on me at all... doesn't even help a headache. And the conditions at the recovery house sound horrible - I wonder why people post online that it was a wonderful experience if, in fact, it is a mess. I cannot change my surgery now becuase I am financially committed (plane ticket, hotel booked). It is a three day endurance test I suppose and I will just have to know that I will be home shortly after the surgery and the pain is temporary. Ugg...

So, other than that - how are things since the surgery? Do you find you are losing weight and feeling better at this point?

Hi Crystal! Hope you are feeling fine. I just got home. It was a very long day and looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!! But the surgery went really well and I am feeling great. Talk to you soon!
