O! I agree, I am going to follow the diet, but doctor's diet didn't include peach juice that they gave us at the hospital.... Does it mean it's ok to have it.... Or not? I seem to have an aversion to sertain smells..... And broth is one of them. I had some yesterday but I didn't enjoy it. I don't feel hungry or thirsty so it's hard to convince myself to eat (well, in our case drink) anything other than water and ice chips..... The great thing .... I went from 278 to 252! At this rate i'll be size 12 in no time, lol.

How many vitamins are you taking? Did you start taking the vitamins that still look too big to swallow or r u waiting on those? I have some fish oil and biotin that I am waiting on... They just look so big ....

It took forever, but we are finally home
That wall mart is great! And I really liked walking there, felt great to be moving again! That little juice box was so good so when I got to airport I bought a bigger one "Naked" mango Smoothie and spent all day with it. I was kinda surprised (and glad) that we didn't have to do strictly clear liquid. I think I miss color, lol. I was surprised just how long it takes me to finish something (that Smoothie lasted for day and a half)... In the past it would have been 5 min. Lol.
I tried clear soup yesterday and no go. But today I kinda enjoyed my clear chicken soup. So that's good. How long are you going to stick with liquid diet? When r u planning to add shakes? Do we count week from surgery or discharge?

cograts!glad to know your doing well!
  7. Yes, all is well here. Thanks to the obvious pain killers I've been getting there's been no pain at all. I've had no problem walking, getting out of bed, or going to the bathroom which is different from the c-sections. Glad you are doing well too. Take care of yourself on your flight tomorrow, and let me know how you are doing once you are home.

LOL! I know! I ended up taking one sleeping pill and one pain pill and got really good sleep. Also, Kristina gave me gel that's anti-gas and anti-acid! It tastes great and works better than gas x. I bought a whole box to take home with me. .... But all this is for tomorrow! Today you will be on a ton of pain killers! 1st day is actually easy, at least for me it was..... Sure, it was my fault, I should have asked for more pain killers.... But ... Oh, well. Take care of yourself! Talk to u soon!

I felt pretty good yesterday, no pain what so ever. Today is somewhat harder as I opted not to have any pain meds.. So I can deffinetly feel gas pains. But otherwise, I am still doing great. Walked all day. Compare to my c-session this is nothing, I can get off the bed with no paid. I will be leaving tomorrow as you get here, so i asked Jessica to let me meet you,she said ok! So have a good night, get lots of rest and in will see you tomorrow!

Thanks! I honestly feel much better than I anticipated. I have no pain (probably due to good schedule)' but every so often I feel like I might throw up. So I ask for extra medication. Tomorrow I am starting on ice (how exciting)!
    Good night!

I had the same feeling about Thanksgiving but as my father-in-law said I felt alot better Thanksgiving night than the rest of them. I was on full liquid diet. It was'nt the easiest thing I have ever done my hubby and I just stayed home I felt bad for my kids(older with families)so they went else where but none the less I felt bad proably more for myself. But I made it through and you will at christmas also. I am finally off of full liquids tomarrow. I know where Elko is and have been there a few time to Wendover a few also. I do like Dr. Richards Idea of the help afterwards so take advantage if you can. Best wishes and good luck on your new journey.

I had my sirgery with Dr. Christina Richards, I had my surgery 12 days algo and am feeling wonderful. From what I have read on this blog Dr. Almanza is pretty amazing also. I had insurance that covered my surgery so I had mine here. But I also think my surgeon was pretty good also. The only thing was I only seen her once the whole time I was in the process of getting to surgery day and that was back in April when I started this journey it took me that long for ins. than I did not see her again till; the day of surgery, although that was proable my fault I guess I could have scheduled an app. with her but they have alot of people in the office working for them. (Good or bad I do't know). But I had my surgery everything went well, What part of NV are you from? I am from Wellsville Ut.

30 Pounds to Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by MOMX2 on 04-14-2013 at 09:12 AM
I started this journey fifteen months ago needing to lose an incredible 159 pounds of fat! Since, I have been able to lose 129 pounds of the old me and surfacing is a woman who is happier and more confident in her skin than she's ever been. I love, love, love wearing dresses and skirts. I still keep me arms covered in most cases, but even those are getting better.

I never dreamed I'd be one of those girls who only has 30 pounds left to lose. I have people tell me all the time

Gall bladder surgery was Friday and a funk today!

by MOMX2 on 03-17-2013 at 09:54 AM
Usually a very positive person on this site, I woke up in a funk today. I'm hoping it is just the pain meds, lack of shower, and no exercise other than the laps around the block.

I want my control back. I want to wake up and exercise. I want to sleep at night. I don't want anymore incision pain. I don't want to be told I can't do something or to be careful. I want to eat like normal. At this point, I've been given no restrictions but I'm afraid to eat much.

Gall Bladder being removed tomorrow!

by MOMX2 on 03-14-2013 at 08:46 AM
So, I posted two weeks ago about the most horrific pain that put me in the ER for about six hours two weeks ago. Well, I met with the surgeon Tuesday and learned that I do have gall stones. I never want to experience that type of pain again so I am having my gall bladder removed tomorrow morning at 6:00 am.

Hoping my recovery is very quick and with little pain as I fly to Seattle Tuesday for a 3 day training. Wish me luck! For those experienced in this surgery (not at the same

3 scale victories this morning!!!!!!

by MOMX2 on 02-13-2013 at 01:41 PM
Ah, another great celebration of my sleeve...actually, three great victories!

Yesterday my scale read 171 pounds which I was celebrating. Today, it read 169 which is great for three reasons.....

1. I not only weigh what my driver's license says I weigh and has said for 20 years I actually weigh one pound less.
2. I am no longer serverly, morbidly obese with a BMI of 51. I am now just overweight with a BMI of 29.
3. I have lost a total of 125 pounds

My NSVs!

by MOMX2 on 02-06-2013 at 11:19 PM
I had to travel for work and had some time for shopping today. In one of my last posts, I wrote about feeling like I didn't belong in the "skinny girl" stores. Today, I not only went in but I bought. I bought way too much, but I had a great time. The old 3x--24w girl bought medium and large shirts, sweaters, suit coats, skirts, and dresses! I also bought 3 new pairs of shoes. I felt AMAZING! The last store ended with the checkout lady telling me I should go have my picture retaken
