Having a hard time losing weight

I am struggling to get out of the 180's. I had recently got down to 176 and was to excited but then went back up to 183. I am frustrated because others have lost their weight very quickly and here I struggle. I will admit I don't go to the gym on a consistent basis but I am about to change that since my old boy has introduced me to his 24 hour gym and they have machines I like that allow me to burn calories quicker. I am also struggling to get enough water down. I am weak to diet pepsi but
