  1. Yesterday was my official food funeral day. I ate without borders;steak, wine, more steak, more wine.I was great and I said good bye to it all while I ate. I woke up this morning feeling crappy as I have been eating pristinely of late in preparation for surgery. Yesterday was a great one last reminder how crappy I can feel on that food. Today I begin the official post op diet. I feel ready emotionally and with water bottle in hand, I press onward.

About peasantme
Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
I am mid 50's, 10 years out of a bad marriage. Sometimes I feel like a child getting to live her own life finally on her own terms.
On the path to Gastric sleeve, I have ortho issues and metabolic issues. all which should be improved with a sleeve. If not, losing some weight should be an improvement in itself.

I had surgery 1/18/17 and had the best experience.

It's coming

by peasantme on 12-29-2016 at 01:35 AM
In seven days I begin my preop diet. I feel like I am approaching a giant door through which I begin a new life. I still havent told people. It's surreal to be amongst people who have no idea such a grave difference in aperson is about to happen.

FIrst steps

by peasantme on 07-10-2016 at 01:37 AM
I was 128 lbs when I got married at 18. I steadily gained until I weighed 255. I then went on a health kick, joined an online group and lost until I hit 201. It's been 15 years and I go up and down between 200 and 250. My MD;s think I'm a great candidate for Gastric sleeve. Im 57 and want a great big change. So I am jumping in.
