    good luck today
  4. The days keep flying by, 20 days. I find it hard to believe that it is 20 days away. I have a paper to turn in for my credential, end of the school year for my girls + studying for finals, a marching band banquet, dr. appointment, liquid diet and a religious thing for a nephew, it is a different religion and have no idea what to get him. Needless to say I am overwhelmed. I am nervous about the surgery. When I am on here the feeling is less, so thanks.

Talking to my Daughters

by Ms.Ln on 04-28-2016 at 01:33 PM
Today or tomorrow I plan on talking to my girls about what happens with the surgery. Why I am having it and tell them what will need and answer any questions that they have. They are teens and really great kids. Any suggestions?

Getting in the groove

by Ms.Ln on 04-27-2016 at 11:42 AM
I have been planning and prepping for the liquid diet. It sounds horrible, however I have decided that I am going to ignore those feelings. I have been taking in the required amount of water every day ( not an easy task). I have begun to explore the wonderful world of protein drinks. I am looking for a chewable calcium that does not make me gag, this also goes for the daily vitamin. There has got to be something better. I have seen patch vitamin's and am going to explore that. I know eventually

Mourning Food

by Ms.Ln on 04-26-2016 at 06:39 PM
I am in the final stretch, well stretch~ish. I am at the point when I am thinking about all of the food I will miss. Sushi, stuffed cabbage, rice, angel food cake and so on. I have decided the cut off date for food I can't eat after the surgery is Monday. This will be about 5 weeks out. I know that after I will not care. Now all I can think about is the food and hair loss. I had to snap myself out of it and say "look you can eat all that you want and more or be around for my kids." The

So the journey begins

by Ms.Ln on 04-25-2016 at 02:39 PM
Hi All,
I am Ellen and there are 7 weeks before my surgery. I assume that my fears and feelings are the same as many. It is so final, will I miss certain foods more than I can cope with, will I be bald (as a person with a mass of curly hair this is a worry). I wonder who I will be if I am not the funny fat girl. Let alone a funny, fat girl with curly hair. How will this( effect or is it affect I never get it straight) my kids. I just wonder who I will and if I will be ok with all of the
