I too am Dr. Shieh's patient. I live in Bonita and work in Naples. I'm waiting for their new location to get up and running. Did you have insurance that covered this procedure? I'm freaking out that mine won't because it does say "investigational" and I don't know how Dr. Shieh will be able to pull this off with a letter from him or not....if not, I'm going to go for the RYN. I already made my mind up!!! That is a surgery that is covered under my policy. I had the band now and want it out and converted to the sleeve. I'd love to hear from you. How are you doing now? Yes, I live and work in Naples. Had the sleeve 11days ago with Dr. Shieh. Stayed only one day at the hospital. Went back to work after a week. Loosing lbs every day...I am loving it, can't wait to start excersising.The only thing i've had problems with are the protein powders and shakes...they are all discusting to me plus I am lactose intolerant so anything that tastes to milk I can not handle....so I am surviving with yougurt and fat free cottage cheese until next week that I start pureed food.
