You look great! Thanks for the encouragement!
  3. Hello all! I'm approaching my 2 year mark post sleeve and doing great! I have maintained 130lbs for months. I reached my goal of 145 by the 8mo mark. I continued to loose and was worried about loosing too much. I went to 125lbs before finally stopping and slowly climbing to 130. I'm thankful for the sleeve. It has made my life so much better.

Gee thanks! I've only weighed below 180 once in my whole life and that was in my first semester of college, when I was drinking a lot of booze and not eating! lol I was at that wt for just a minute, though. If I can get to 180, I'll be a happy camper!
  5. Almost at the 2 year mark and maintaining at 130. Still would like to get to my goal of 145. The journey has been worth every step.

Hello!!! Good to hear from you. I hope all is good in your world.

I have leveled out between 185 and 190 lbs, weight stays in that range. Not much change there since last fall. Wearing size 32" pants and medium shirt and underwear, which is AWESOME! No more having to shop in the"big men's" section for cloths! But I do lament not being able to wear my Harley Davidson cloths, having to buy all new leather pants, shirts, jackets, etc. I have like $3000 worth of very high end motorcycle cloths I can not wear. Oh well.

    How are you doing?

Thank you Terri! I go under around noontime I think. I'm suppose to check in at 11am. I had a small meal Saturday evening so I think they are putting me last because of it. Better safe than sorry.

    Hi! how're you doing?

Hi Teri, just looked at your transformation and wow! I am about the same weight now than when you started, how tall are you? I am 5'6" but I am a big bone girl, and no I just not telling my self that lol! My bones are pretty dense, I think the last time I was 135lbs my normal weight range, I was like 16 years old. Your skin looks great! did you have work? how old are you? I am 47 soon to be 48 a week from now, and I am concerned but not worried that my skin may not bounce back.

Hi Teri, I just saw that you posted a new photo album "16 months"(couldn't wait!) but it seem to be empty, may be the downloading didn't work (again) ...just letting you know! I hope you are doing well!, take care

You're so right. It's imperative to have that unconditional love and support.
From your signature stats, it looks like you're working on changing your diet to regain the weight you need. Two thumbs up!!! This is all very inspiring to me. You're showing me there are solutions!

About Aydensmomma
Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
I am a mom, I have a 5 yr old son named Ayden...that's where my member name came from....creative, right? I have a 10 yr old daughter Rachael and a 16 yr old step daughter, Liz. I have been overweight most of my life. I remember going to the doctor at 14 years old and being almost 200lbs. My mom was disgusted, she didn't say it but I knew she was. When I was 17 I had school and a full time job, and with little time to snack I lost 70 lbs. I maintained my weight of 150 until I got pregnant when I was 21. I ate for 2, and then some. I gave birth at 220lbs. It took 2 years of diet and exercise and I got my weight down to 130lbs. Maintained that weight until i was 27 and pregnant with my son. I didn't gain as much as my I did with my daughter. I was 180lbs when I left the hospital with my son. In the months following I gained weight. I was diagnosed with post pardum depression and PCOS. I dieted and exercised, I'd loose 10lbs and gain back 15lbs. It's discouraging to do all the work and not get results. My weight climbed up to 255lbs I had a toddler who I couldn't really play with because I couldn't get down on the floor, a 6yr old girl who I couldn't ride bikes with. I was self conscious. Crabby, my back and knees always hurt. I didn't want to go anywhere, I was always dripping with sweat, even sitting still. My clothes consisted of t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants and a pair of jeans. I always made sure there was always ice cream in my freezer and caramel chocolates in my purse.
In April 2014 I ran into a friend who was my size the last time I saw her, she looked great. She lost all the excess weight, and felt great. She told me about the sleeve. That day I started my research and spoke to my husband and told him I wanted to do the sleeve. It was an embarrassing conversation but I'm glad we had it. He agreed to help me out along the way. That day I made my 1st appointment with my surgeon. After 6mo of seeing a dietician and following her diet I lost 8 pounds. Again, discouraging, but if I could loose the weight with diet and exercise (like I had in the past) I wouldn't be getting sleeved. After getting my psych, cardiovascular and pulmonary clearance I was scheduled for surgery 12/30/14. Happy New years!
Surgery went well, but due to the anastasia I was vomiting for 48 hours.
Fast Forward 1 year
Lost 127lbs was size 18/20 pants and now I am size 2
I was 1x or 2x tops, now I'm S or XS
lost a total of 51.5 inches!!

19 months out
I think I'm finally maintaining at 129 pounds.
Still wearing size 2 and small/XS
I love shopping now, I love getting dressed up and looking as good as I feel. I can run around with my kids and dog and not break a sweat. Pre-op I had a migraine 2x a week, now I get them maybe 2x a month, if that. My back and knees no longer hurt. I can squat down and get up easily. I can fit in small places, I can ride all the rides at the amusement park, I can cross my legs comfortably.

Bad teeth

by Aydensmomma on 01-10-2017 at 10:51 AM
I always brushed and flossed. I went to the dentist 2x a year like I was supposed to. Then I lost insurance and didn't go to the dentist for 2 years, but I cared for my teeth. All was good, but in the past year my teeth seem to have been deteriorating. As I write this I'm sitting at the dentist office. I have 2 broken teeth, one that has been a 8/10 on a pain scale these past few days. I also have had teeth pulled, and a crown on one. Can't sleep becasue my whole head is throbbing. The only major

♡ worst heart burn ever!!

by Aydensmomma on 01-10-2017 at 10:45 AM
Hi all! Been a while since I have visited, life has certainly kept me busy. I just had my 2 year anniversary from being sleeved on December 30th. I can't believe it's been 2 years already, the changes are amazing.
When I had the endoscopy I was told I had a hiatal hernia. I didn't know much about it, doc said not to worry about it.
Well, after being sleeved and getting on this site I learned that a hiatal hernia is common with weight gain, and a lot of surgeons remove the hernia when

Just under 2 months away from my 2 year surgiversary!

by Aydensmomma on 11-13-2016 at 11:14 AM
I was sitting at my computer looking thru some old pictures. Wow. Was that really me? I saw a picture of me in a shirt I used to always wear because I thought it made me look "thinner" I knew at 255lbs I was big, but I never felt as big as I looked. Pictures of me with my family....I look like I'm a giant. I'm going make an album in my profile with some pictures. The only thing I miss about the old me is my hair. It was so long and it was thick. Now it's short and thin. It is growing back,

Will I ever get used to the cold?!

by Aydensmomma on 09-29-2016 at 10:12 AM
When I was 255 pounds I was good in a hoodie on a freezing day in January.
I would sweat like crazy at any temp over 65.
Forget hot and humid days, I was soaked and dreaded leaving the air conditioning. I kept the a/c at 64 (it wouldn't go lower) all summer long.
This past summer I turned on the a/c maybe 4 times, each time for a day or two
Saved on my electric bill :-)
I love the fall. It just might be my favorite season. Now that I have lost all the weight I

by Aydensmomma on 09-20-2016 at 11:12 AM
Wow. It has been a long time since I posted. Summer kept me busy! Vacation at the beach, amusement park rides etc. All things that I would have avoided in the past.
For those of you who don't know me...... my name is Teri. I am 32 years old and was sleeved 12/30/2014. I was 255lbs. 5'7"
"Morbidly Obese"
I hate that word. Obese.
I have struggled with my weight all my life, I lost and gained, lost, had a baby, gained. Lost, had another baby, gained. But
