Congratulations Christina. I'm early in the process of deciding if I want to proceed with the sleeve. I was just confirmed that I "qualify" based on my BMI, so next step I guess are the required classes. I'm nervous about what seems to be such a drastic step, but seeing your pictures and reading your blog helps to remind me what I want and need to do. Thank you so much for being there.

Very inspirational!! You look amazing. I am the same height as you and almost the same starting weight. Surgery is in January. I could never dream of weighing less than 150. Way to go!!!

Thanks so much for the email. I went back to work yesterday after being out for a week. Still a bit uncomfortable where my incissions are. Having a really hard time getting enough liquid down and im only eating a small amount like once a day. I cant seem to get into a routine to get it all down. I saw your before and after YOU LOOK FABULOUS! Gives me hope. I really did this because I didnt want to die young from a heart attack, figured it was time to get healthy since I was turning 40 soon.
Couple questions for you, did you have any issues with hair loss or thinning hair? Also, what do you know about alcohol consumption after surgery?

Hi everyone! I feel so bad that I haven't had a chance to post in what feels like a really really long time, but I have just been so busy enjoying my new life! I have been keeping up with everyone else with the daily email I get and I hope you all are enjoying your sleeve as much as I am! For those of you who are considering this option, for me this has been an amazing blessing and I highly recommend it! So an update to where I am now... my surgery was June 2nd (almost 4 months ago) and my starting weight was 275. As of this morning I am down to 204, thats 74 pounds in less then 4 months!!! The first few days were a little tough, but each day gets easier and easier and at this point I feel better then ever.

I'll try to check in again very soon! My next big milestone will be when I get on that scale and I'm in the ONEderland which is close!

I was on clear liquids for a week, full liquids for another week, puree'd foods for a week, soft foods for a week and then slowly moved on to regular foods while still including the previous foods into my daily food intake. Just don't get ahead of yourself. Take small sips and then small bites. Don't be in a big hurry to eat whatever you want.

Keep a positive attitude and you will do great!
