I just figureed out how to reply to your email, sometimes I'm a bit slow.

Our healing process is similar. I read some of these posts and shake my head, but try to be very diplomatic because I don't want to insult people. We just had 85% of our stomach removed. This is a pretty darn major surgery and I agree, people need to know this. My body went through all kinds of different phases for the 1st entire month. I was blessed to have 6 weeks paid medical leave. I was going to go back after 4 weeks and decided, I really needed the extra 2 weeks to get the food and water routine down. I'll be 8 weeks this Tuesday, and I really do feel good. No physcial restrictrictions, but still getting used to the new eating. Take care.

I was reading through the posts and you seem to have similar views about your sleeve as I do with mine. Your healing process seems similar. I can't believe that some people never needed to take pain meds. at home. I'm on day 8 and haven't taken it for 2 days now, but I had it near the bed in case I woke up during the night and was in pain. People who are going into it need to know what it's like at first.
