  3. Hi, Tamera! Thank you so much for your message! And I appreciate your kind words and encouragement! When things like this happen to us, it makes us realize we need to be in control of our health! Glad you found a good doctor! And congrats on week 7! It's quite a journey, but I'm still a firm believer that gastric sleeve surgery was the best thing I've done for myself! Best wishes on your journey! Take care, Jen

Congratulations on your success, you look great. Good Luck with your elimination diet. Sounds like you found a good natural path provider. Unbelievable your doctor let your iron level remain untreated for so long. You will feel ten times better when you get your Iron level in the normal range. I remember getting really sick after a MVA. My Medical Doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong so a friend referred me to this great Natural Path/DO and he figured out what was wrong, turns out my Addreal Glads weren't functioning normal, I developed Addison's disease,I had to go on Hydrocortisone and avoid cetain foods and artificial sweetener. I got much better and now continue to manage my disease with Hydrocortisone and they check blood work every 3-6 mos. Hope you feel better soon. Thank you for the inspiration. I'm week 7 on the 24th. People like you have inspired me to not only have this surgery but follow a healthy diet after my controlled diet of liquids and purée food. Seeing so many before and after pics along with your stories of not moving to becoming runners, hikers, jumping out of airplanes, being able to do the things you want including the simplest task of caring for your foot made me want to be apart of that club, lol. Thank you for being one of those people. Sincerely, Tamera
  5. It's been so long, but I think I just clicked on the Ticker link on the top of the page.

Hi :-) I would really prefer to have a 'pounds lost' ticker instead of a pounds left till goal ticker... How did you get yours/where did you get it? MUCH more inspiring to me

    Thanks for your help!

One of the biggest things I've learned since having surgery, that's a mental and physical process. I'm working with a trainer now and I'm learning to trust my body which isn't always easy. Here's my latest story:

Week One of My Elimination Diet

by JLPSch on 03-16-2017 at 02:22 PM
Well, I survived week one of my elimination and lived to write about it:

I've learned it's more than a week, it's for a lifetime. Well, part of the diet, but not all. Coffee is always part of my life!
