Hey Smilez19135 everything has been great since surgery. I'm a bit of a slow loser, I've lost 43 lbs. since March but hey considering how terribly I struggled just to lose 1lb. before VSG I am very grateful. I have 78lbs. to go until goal!

Hey how is everything going so far?

Doing great guys thanks for all the love and support! I'll be two weeks post op in two days. So far including my pre-op diet I am 26 lbs. down. Now only 95 lbs to goal!

Updates Please How are you feeling?

Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes. I am doing well, released from OCC and recovering comfortably in my big luxurious room at the Marriott now. I cannot say enought good things about my surgeons Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martinez and also the AWESOME satff at the OCC. I am feeling pretty great outside my fleeting gas pains. So far so good, just can't believe I am finally sleeved. Let the weight loss begin!

Thank you Ms. Hotpinktulips, yes I am! I'm also very nervous! Of course I just want everything to go well. I actually had to start my pre-op diet 14 days before my surgery date so today marks day 4 and I can tell you that I feel like I am in the "thick" of it but still doing very well. Lost 6 pounds so far despite having cravings like a mad woman. I miss food already but it will be about another four more weeks till I can touch even soft foods so I really need to just start working on my will power! Lol

Thanks Texas Girl! Well that's not too far from me. I work in Chandler and stay East in Mesa but I was born and raised in AZ so for me the sunny desert life is all I know. I love it but I hear Texas is great too. I myself am new to this board and really just searching for the right surgeon for me. So far I am going back and fourth between Dr. Fernando Garcia, Dr. Almanza and the renowned Dr. Ariel Ortiz. This is the first time in my life it has seemed that all the funds and circumstances are finally starting to fall into place for me to be able to get this surgery I have long contemplated. I am so excited for my weight loss journey to begin!

Hi Nikki! I lived in the Phoenix area for 11 years (from 1998 to 2009), but spent most of my time on the west side, in Goodyear. I was in Ahwatukee for my first year and Chandler for my second, but then we built in Goodyear and stayed out there until we moved out of the area.
