And thanks for the advice.
I am sure there are lots of people who have had this done. I know there are some in Maidstone and Lloydminster . Not that I know personally but friends of friends kinda thing.
I went to Edmonton and things seem to be going great. I see my surgeon tomorrow for my first follow up appt. looking forward to perhaps getting to soft foods. My daughter lives in Saskatoon and I am there quite frequently. Is there a support group there for sleevers? Although I find this forum is great for answering most of my questions.
Hello, I am from Saskatchewan too! You are doing awesome. Where are you from? If you don 't mind saying of course. I am 50 years old and am 12 days post op. so far so good. I live in Goodsoil
I have received wonderful messages from so many people that I cannot respond individually to everyone. I want to thank each of you for your thoughtfulness and encouraging Words! I pray for your success and good health and happiness! TexasLady
Hi there, I am not eating - still on full liquids - I can't eat anything solid yet. I am just starting to introduce purees but its not going great. My system is too swollen, I'm told, to be able to handle things beyond liquids. I felt bulimic because I would toss after every 'meal', so its actually a relief to have moved backwards for now. I also feel full very quickly so overeating is not something I anticipate!! That said, sugar still calls out to me! It gave me my energy before (which was fake energy) so when I'm tired I want it. So far I'm being very good though.... keep in touch!
You are doing so well! My weight is coming off alot slower than you, but I'm happy for you
Thank you!
Good luck and God Bless!
Good luck with you're upcoming surgery! I am a Canadian sleever as well!
Conrats on making the choice to change your life. I was sleeved Jan 12,2013 and it was the best thing I could have done. I am part of a great support goup on Facebook. It's for people who are thinking about weight loss surgery, pre-op and post-op. The group it set to secret. No one on your facebook page will know your a member of the group or see any post you make. If you feel that this will help you along your journey, message me and I will add you to the group. Good luck on your journey.
Im sorry it took me so long to get back with you...I will scan it here shortly and send it to you! Talk to you soon! =) Julie
I am sorry it took so long to reply! I have been home about ten days now and other than a near miss with dehydration I am doing great! I wrote a loooooong post of my recollection of the Mexico experience and posted it here MeasureOfMe. I hope it helps you! Let me know if you have questions and I will do my best to get back to you faster. --measureofme. AKA Amber
