That's a great idea. I will be jittery for sure. I tend to panic right before surgery so I'm hoping getting to know others around me will help. Or sticking my face in my computer to distract me. My mother in law is going to be with me so she can keep an eye on our things. She's a great support but I don't think she will be allowed to stay in the room while in the hospital. I'm thinking maybe bringing a couple card games could be fun too. I'm so glad these boards are here!

Sorry to hear about the sickies! It does sound like you've gotten a jump start on the liquid diet tho! I hope I am able to sleep the night before but I have a feeling I'll be tossing and turning all night. I have sleep issues anyway. I think I may be one of the last to get my surgery for the day so maybe I will doze a bit while waiting. I haven't heard of anyone else having to do the 10 day liquid diet but it's already got me feeling so worn out. I am having such a tough time with it. Just have to keep telling myself this will all be over very soon!

I'm landing at 11:30am so if my flight is on time and I can get to the Jet Blue terminal by noon, I will get picked up then. Otherwise I will be riding with you at 3! I am so excited to finally be getting sleeved and started on my weight loss, but extremely nervous about the surgery and recovery. I don't do well with pain and have a tendency to freak right before surgery. I'm going to have my doctor prescribe me something to take right before to settle me down.

Right now it's just trying to get through this liquid diet. I was supposed to do 10 days but since things came up so fast I'm actually just starting it today. It's tougher than I thought it would be!
