    Thanks, Jenny!

I am also very glad I had surgery. I still have about 40 to lose, and it's slowing down some for me. I need to get back on track! But I'm also working out like a fiend, and gaining lots of muscle. I can wear a size 10 now (pants) down from a 14/16. So I'm pretty pleased with that! Lots of health improvements, too. No more snoring, or high BP. Those are the real reasons I had the surgery! But still, I need to keep losing!!!! My weight loss definitely goes in spurts!
The changes aren't too bad. My husband had this surgery a few years ago, so things like eating out aren't bad - we just share alot! No soda can be hard at times...in fact, I'll have a sip now and then, but I let it go a little flat first! No bubbles for me! Also, waiting to drink after eating... but all things I can live with! I haven't beent his weight since high school - 35 years ago!

COntinued success to you! Can't wait for you to reach your goal!

Hello.... I still have to do my one on one with the nutrition, echo and my psychology appt. I am really hoping my surgery will be schedule by the 16th of April. Who did your psychology test and what did you have to do. I have Tricare so I get refered off base for that test. Everything is has seem to go quick. I was refered on Jan 29 and I had 10 things required for me to do and now I am down to two and my pre-op quiz. Thanks so much for answering me. I am so excited and nervous at the same time and just want to see how you where feeling. Have you went back to work yet?

Hi,,,, I am from Fayetteville also but I am being sleeved at Womack. How have you been doing?

I had my 1 month check up on Monday and am down a total of 30lbs as well, 18 since day of surgery. I'm so excited about that. I have to go back in another month so we'll see how it goes! My doc said I could take an OTC for the heartburn so I started prevacid and it's helping ALOT! I get to go back to work tomorrow night which has me a little worried, but I usually do better at work than at home anyway so after the first couple of shifts I should have it down! Other than that i'm doing well. Not so much struggling with food and such any more. I've yet to have a bad reaction to anything I've tried. The one thing that bothered me the most was making a smoothie with vanilla greek yogurt, fresh fruit and a scoop of vanilla protein powder. A little too much sugar. I won't do that again! LOL
Glad to hear things are going better for you. Did you find a peanut butter you could have?

So I just wanted to stop by and see how you are doing? How is the sleeved life now that you have a few weeks under your belt? Is it any easier getting in the protein & all the liquids??

Oh! Also, Atkins has a Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar. It has 17g of Protein, 14g Fat, and 23g Carbs. Maybe later on down the road you could try it.

Hey Lady! Hope all is going better for you. Just saw your post about peanut butter and thought I'd send you a message. I've always used Adams 100% Natural Peanut Butter Unsalted. All it has in it is Peanuts. I buy the creamy It has 16g fat, 0g Sodium, 6g Carbs, and 7g Protein. If you're used to the sugar added kinda it takes a bit of getting use to, but well worth it!
How's it going otherwise?? I saw that it takes you about an hour to get a Tbs down and I so know how that feels. I never thought I'd say it, but I hate eating now. It's so hard to get everything right, I'd almost rather drink my meals anymore. LOL
Hope things get better for all of us soon! Best Wishes. Chat soon!

Each day gets better for me. The first day after surgery was horrible with the gas pains. My doc had the nerve to tell me the next day it wasn't gas pains. The gas is gone after 12hrs. Then I needed a stool softener and was told that I didn't need to go. I had a reaction to the band aides they put over the stitches. So the nurse took them off gave me some neosporene n more band aides. My doc told me the redness, inflamation, blistering, and heat of the reaction was just....bruising. Needless to say I'm super glad to be out of the hospital. I'm feeling much better. Some soreness and a little gas but recovering nicely. Trying to get in all my water and protein. Has it been getting better you? ~Tara
  15. hope your doing good, speedy recovery to you
