Hello all,
I know its been a while since my last update so let me fill you in!
February was a good month for me. My mother finally moved out, she had been with me since I was two weeks pre-op. I was doing good on dieting, I was off nausea/vomiting medication, I was doing good on fluid intake and I was motivated. I was even getting comfortable with not losing as rapidly, so I joined a gym and started focusing on toning and getting strong. My friends surprised me with a hotel weekend

It has been exactly one month since my gastric sleeve, and I can say this has been one of the most exciting, emotional, and difficult times of my life. I had my one month follow up last week and health-wise I am doing good. They said I am slightly above average in weight loss so I may want to slow down a hair. So I ended up having to stay an extra day in the hospital. I never passed the barium test, but was finally allowed liquids on Wednesday. Everything was gross to me, and drinking really really hurt. My surgeons assistant said I was still very swollen and it would take time. Also I found out plain water hurts THE WORST going down. My usual sugar-free beverages like G2 and mio were too watery, and I had to go to slightly sugary drinks like V8 Splash and 100% Apple Juice just to keep my intake up. It

Hey guys! So had my surgery right on schedule Monday morning. According to the surgeon and everyone involved the surgery pretty much textbook, no surprises. The recovery however was a nightmare. I woke up from the anesthesia in absolute pain and agony. When I got to the unit, they were only giving me a PCA morphine pump and Zofran every 6 hours and that was just not cutting it. They were extremely late getting my Barium swallow test, which is the only way I can get off MPO status if I passed it.

So It was a stressful week, getting ready for everything that is about to happen in my life. I am trying to stay positive and keep motivated. Its not even about the food or liquid diet, but just the change and everyday life. I envy those that don't have to work or take care of family members going through all this stuff, but that is like no one right? I weighed late in the day to get my heavy number (keeping it realistic) and lost a little bit more on the liquid diet. I'm just going to rest and
