So far so good for me although the 2nd day post op was the worst..But I am trucking along pretty well now! Even had some scrambled eggs this morning that went down quite easily and felt sooo good!

Alanna, I forgot to ask..I keep reading about a leak test after surgery...did this happen to you? I thought they took care of all this during the surgery..what is a leak test and my appt with anesthesia didnt say anything about a foley catheter either!! I think I am just getting nervous since I am 9 days out but your the only one who has the same doc as me so I figure you could let me know what I am in for! =)

Hi Alanna! I am on my 5th day of the liquid diet and I have a question for you...does the coffee we drink have to be decaf? I have been drinking regular with some 1% milk in it with splenda. Is this ok? Collette said I got the old handbook and the liquid diet is different now but she only told me about drinking 5 shakes a day instead of 3...anything else I should know I can actually have? LOL

Just thought I would stop by and see how things were going for you? I have bought all of my pre and post surgery groceries, been weaning off the coffee sugar sweeteners and trying out different no sugar ones. I also got my sf Popsicle, sf jello and broths.

I am alittle worried I might cheat but hopefully not.. It will depend on what I am making for the kids during that time..But I am going to do my best NOT to cheat!
I am so anxious and excited to have this done. I am glad to find someone who is with Dr. Raheb also!

Keep in touch if you dont mind! Just want to know what to look out for and what to expect! I was told my surgery is the first one on that day so I have to leave my house in Hampton at 415am to get there!! LOL
So far Dr, Raheb has been very nice and helpful..I have to go over there this week sometime to see Anesthesia but other than that I am ready to go!

Full weeks ? I dont see him for pre op appt till the 20th and my surgery is on the 27th so not sure when to start it.. how long did ya stay in the hospital? Hope to meet you at some point! Take care alanna
