  1. Thank you Shirley!! Thank you for the support, at this point in my life I really need it! I may even seek out counseling. As of yesterday I had to place my 17 yr old daughter in a mental health facility because she tried to harm herself. I'm a major stress eater and as much as I don't even want to eat I can't stay away from the garbage. Sorry to vent on you!!
  2. Hey Tonya, I see we have a lot in common. I drove a school bus for twenty six years. I just retired from all of it...work in general. Now I'm concentrating on me! You can contact me anytime with questions or just moral support...we can help each other...we are worth it!

Thank you so much! I can't wait till I get home and see how much I weigh. Not exercising as much, but I am eating okay. I love the hair cut too.

I hope you can get some relief from your pain. Most mornings when I get up I can barely walk to the bathroom because of the pain in hips and knees so I keep a glass of water and my pill bottle next to my bed. I can not say anything takes away the pain but at least it is manageable. Plus I all ways take a pill when I head to the YMCA for the water class or swim. I have a hard time walking on dry land but am like a fish in water as long as I can control the pain. I sure hope you find something that works for you. I didn't want to take narcotics because they put me to sleep or so groggy I can not function properly. Good Luck.

Thanks for your comments. I hope you are feeling better now that you are 2 weeks out. It does get easier each day & week. I felt like the 2 week post op was a positive turn. You start feeling better & eating & drinking will start feeling normal to you too. You are having great success with your weight loss already!!! Be consistent with your protein, water & vitamins!!! That is truly the key to weight loss. I know it can be boring and your not sure how much or what to really eat but get your eating & drinking pattern set and this will truly help you have success and optimum health! All my best wishes to you!

  14. I am 17 days away from my surgery date. I wish it was tomorrow! I started my pre-op diet last week due to struggling with losing weight through this whole 6 month process. Otherwise things have been ok. I've had some other physical issues going on. I was in an accident a few years ago. My pain doctor has just figured out that I have a severe pinched nerve and 2 are totally degenerated. I had epidural injections done on Thursday and still recovering from that. I certainly I have progress like yours! Wtg! I hope things continue to go so well for you.

Hi, I've been doing pretty good. Lost a total of 84 lbs(30 since surgery). I can eat pretty much anything, just not much. Before surgery my blood pressure was 130/80 for a normal and now its 120/70. So much better! I go to the drs on friday and hope to be cleared for full exercising. I wanna join Snap out here in Girard. How is everything coming along for you? Gettin pretty close for you

Sleeved? Right decision or not?

by TonyaSitler on 09-12-2012 at 06:54 PM
My surgery is in 3 weeks and I'm getting more nervous everyday. I'm wondering if I've made the right decision to go with the sleeve instead of bypass. Ive been hearing a lot on here about slow progress and some pretty long stalls. Honestly that scares me! I watched my husband have bypass 5 1/2 years ago, weighing in at 380 and approximately 1 1/2 yrs after weighed in at 140. I realize I don't have as much weight to lose as he did. My doctor said I can change my up until the day before my surgery.
