Hey Anissa, I miss you. Hope you are doing great.

I'm doing great. I refuse to be unhappy with my body - I love every droopy bit of it. My weight continues to drop and it is nice to be able to focus on life instead of food and weight. I tend to eat the same things every day and I'm fine with that. My life has opened up a great deal and I can only go on to more beautiful things happening.
Really glad to hear that you're well and congratulations on being the shape/person you dreamed for yourself. Good for you!

What a difference a month short of a year makes. It's coming up to my 1 year anniversary. How's your life with the sleeve going?

Anissa! You are truly an inspiration! When did you begin running? Any advice you can offer for running, working out, or any other tips would be great! Thank you!

I'm great thanks for asking......stalled at stinking 170lbs. I knew you were having plastics in December and hadn't seen you on here or MFP, so was just wondering how things went. Hopefully great!

Hey girl just checking in on you. Hope all is well.

I know you will do great on the half. The only thing I learned is that the mile after my farthest training run was the hardest. I had run up to 10 and between 10 and 11 felt like it took forever. I hear you on the disconnect, things have changed in the last couple of months. The pain will go away soon, I'm sure it's nowhere near labor or a broken back, and I kind of want it to be the bookend on this journey.

It was GREAT to hear from you. I've missed you on the exercise thread, a lot. I finished my half-marathon in 2:00 -- had two left shoes by mistake but still managed just over 9 minute miles. I'm sure you will do great. I did have my plastics yesterday and it hurts way more than the sleeve but I can already make out abdominal lines. It's crazy. Just laying low for now. Thanks for the message, so good to hear from you. I'm sure your plastics will go well, you deserve it with all the work you've done.

I read your "about me" and I felt like I was reading my own story. I was also in an automobile accident back in Sept of 95'... Have struggled with weight ever since.

Congratulations on your journey, you look great!

It has been a long time.....

by Anissa Christine on 04-13-2014 at 09:19 AM
It has been quite awhile since I posted on this forum. But wanted to check back in and let everyone know (who cares..lol) that I am doing fabulous. Sometimes when people "disappear" the assumption can be the person is "struggling". For me, it's the opposite. I am thriving and enjoying the life, that in the past, I have only dreamed of living.

I am 19 months post-op (sleeve) and just over 4 months post-plastics (December). I had an abdominoplasty, adjustable breast

Plastics are 9 days away!

by Anissa Christine on 12-21-2013 at 09:04 AM
So as of the 8th of this month I am 16 months post-op. What a whirlwind this journey has been!! I don't come on here as often anymore...but I will never forget what this forum did for me!

As I stated in the title in 9 days I will be "going under the knife" for my plastic procedures. I will be getting an abdominoplasty, adjustable breast implants, and liposuction to my flanks. I am super excited!

I have been at goal weight for almost 4 months now (and I am

Just checking in...14 months post-op

by Anissa Christine on 10-09-2013 at 06:50 PM
Well I am still continuing to lose weight...I am now 5 pounds below my goal weight of 160.

Funny thing about it..I am not really "trying"...or I should say I am not obsessing about it. Once I hit "goal" the pounds just seem to fall off at will. There is something about hyper-focusing on that darn number that hindered me in some ways...so I am SOOOO happy to be over that HUGE physical/mental hurdle.

I have been training for a half-marathon for 7

My lucky number is 1-1-1!

by Anissa Christine on 09-09-2013 at 08:37 PM
It's lucky because I reached my goal weight of 160 pounds in 1 year, 1 month, and 1 day!! I have lost 100% of my excess weight! My starting weight was 265. I am 5'8".

To celebrate I joined a different gym. I was at Planet Fitness now I am a proud member of Lifetime Fitness..which is an AMAZING place!!

I never thought I would reach 160...and be knocking on the door of the 150's!

I believe I am proof positive

If I would have only known....

by Anissa Christine on 08-10-2013 at 09:39 AM
I am having gallbladder surgery on Monday. Not worried about the surgery AT ALL..it's the NOT working out (at the intensity I am used to)that's going to KILL me (not literally, but you get the idea).

Well in preparation for the surgery I have started to log my food and exercise on MyFitnessPal. I started an account pre-op and NEVER used it post-op until last Friday.

This morning I hopped on the scale and I am down two pounds in 8 days...I have not lost like this is
