Happy birthday!
I can't wait to have that very same conversation with my husband!
Your journey is impressive! very happy for your success!
haven't seen you around. hope it's going well
Well that's cool! Good for you!! I started dieting at 240, have managed to get down to 196, now I'm stuck. Always happens this way. So I'm so excited about my surgery!!!
So your surgery was a little over a month ago and you've lost 80 something lbs?? What was your weight at the time of surgery?
I've had bad heartburn, acid reflux and nausea! It's making eating hard and I can't imagine eating "real food" yet. I've eaten cottage cheese, yogurt, love hummus w/mini rice cakes. I've also had about 2 ozs of chicken and salmon; other than that, not much. Eggs aren't good and dinner is a challenge because that's when my little tummy hurts. I'm so glad to hear you're doing well! By the way, I am unfortunately, back at work now have been for 2 weeks! I've been exercising at the gym and walking 1 1/2 miles each night. I've lost approx 50 lbs. and am down 3 sizes which is wonderful; just wish the stomach problems would clear up. Keep in touch.
Haven't heard from you here and was wondering how you're doing now that we're almost one month done. Hope it's going well. I still feel sick to my stomach sometimes and find it hard to eat at other times. I wish I was like Rip Van Winkle and could just sleep away the time until I could enjoy what little I choose to eat and still keep losing weight
So glad to hear you're doing well. I actually moved on to phase 2 yesterday. I had butterscotch pudding made with skim milk and some whey protein mixed in. I had 4 tbs. and it tasted sooo good..lol.. Today for breakfast after walking 1 mile, I had runny cream of wheat. I couldn't eat too much of it and then 30 minutes later I had some green tea. I was wondering what kind of protein you're taking in as I'm always looking for some good stuff I'm going to try a protein shake for lunch; what a wonderful day!
Wondering how you're doing. I'm feeling better every day but still having trouble getting the protein down. I've had some greek yogurt and that stays down fine and no gas or anything. I'm trying to get somebody on the phone from my bariatric program, i.e., nurse, nutrionist, etc. to see if I could start eating phase 2. feeling like I could handle it and I want to move forward. Patience is not my strong point. I wondered when other people began phase 2 as I heard it's either after week 1 or week 2. Hope you're doing well.
Did you use Gas X? How do I deal with the gas pains?
Are the gas pains gettin any better?
Glad to hear from you and you're lucky about the gas thing. I still have a little difficulty with that process, but it's getting better. I'm having a hard time getting in all the liquids although today was better. Nights are hard, don't want to be bothered with drinking. Energy is much better and I walk as much as possible and nap in-between. I'm not very patient and can't wait to move to the next phase of eating. I'd give anything just to be able to chew something, even my shirt..lol... Take care and keep in touch.
Hope to hear from you soon and all is going well. Take care and relax. That's easier said than done
