Thanks so much Karen. I actually think I read your story on here or one of the other forums. It was recent I remember that and it was shocking to read. I would be so upset if that happened to me. I am so sorry you had to go through that. I don't think anyone but us can understand the depression one feels being overweight. I am so glad you are getting this done now. I am self-pay as well. I missed being covered by insurance by 11 pounds. I was doing great this whole month until they started me on the pre-op. It is so drastic and it makes me feel way too hungry. I had lost 7 pounds in 3 weeks since my first appointment just eating healthier. I felt like I was in control until they put me on the pre-op. That really plays with your mind. I was feeling sorry for myself this morning and your note made me feel not so alone and really put everything in perspective. We can do this! Catherine

Hang in there. I cheated a bit last night and had the noodles in my soup. Had to. Thought my head would explode. Not sure what that is about but it makes me feel awful.
We are in this together. I'm going to Mexico as my insurance won't pay. I had a horrible experience July 1. Prepped for surgery and they said. Nope not doing this. The office had made an error. I've been off all month bc I've been depressed. Got to get this. We just aren't like normal people. And that's what I'm hoping to remedy.
Keep in touch and scream out if you need to vent. Lol.

Yes we are surgery buddies..lol.. I love it!!! I am in North Florida in the Gainesville area.I went to my NUT today for all the pre-op stuff. I was suppose to lose 5 pounds before this point and I gained 5 instead. So now I need to lose 10 just to have the surgery... But my pre-op is a 2 week liquid diet. I am kinda freaking out about it. I think I would be able to handle better if one of the weeks I could have a small portion of lean protein or veggies. The NUt told me if I can make it in liquid forum I could have it. But I will not be turning my chicken into a drink, maybe some veggies. It is nice to have someone to lean on since we are both going through the same things right now SO thanks for reaching out.
