    You posted that you are drinking juice again - I am required to drink 4-6 ounces of 100% fruit juice per day so make sure what you are drinking is 100% fruit juice - that means no sugar was added. You could take 8 ounces, for example, and water it down to get in your 64 ounces of liquid each day. Good luck!

    We have a lot in common! I had my surgery on August 24, 2012. For the first two weeks I had lost weight but now it seems like these past two weeks have lost nothing and gained a few pounds.I haven't exercised yet either but would love to keep in touch with you. Maybe we can motivate each other. I have been trying to find OA meetings either online or by Skype but it's hard for me to figure out how to join and I even looked here but couldn't find anything.     Omg I feel the same way. Ok since surgery I have lost 24 lbs but total i guess its like 42. I am not getting enough protein in some days. I am at the pureed stage and its so difficult at time. I did call the dietitian today. I find it a struggle getting foods that I can tolerate. I will private message you her info. I understand about the work thing too. I asked their office can I go back few days early. Wrong idea. I am exhausted. I work with special needs children. I am hunched over and walking in pain by the evening. Tmrw is a new day and I always have to remember to try to get in more than the day before. i am there with you I would like to loose like 20 more before my check up on October 5.

    Hey. Dont panic. I dont think you had to much food. But you definitely didnt get enough fluids for the day. You should try to get at least 64 ounces a day. Yes it is hard. What I do is, I drink a 16 ounce bottle of water before I even eat breakfast. That way I'm already ahead. After I eat breakfast I pretty much sip on crystal light,water,sobe life water, anything until I'm ready to eat again. Sounds to me like you did pretty good with getting your protein in for the day as well. Its gonna take some getting used to. Soon it will be second nature. I also pre plan my meals. I try to get at least 60 grams of protein a day. Most days I do.
  9. Pre-op went well and I look forward to the hospitals PRE-op on thursday. Getting excited and I'm happy with my decision.

    Good morning!!!! Glad to hear your appointment went well. 90 grams of protein. That's a lot. He told me 60 at the minimum. And also with more food then shakes. I too wondered how am I gonna do that. I love the cottage cheese doubles. I would eat that with lunch meat. I also ate chicken, but i made sure I chewed it very well. I would also pour cream of chicken on it to add some flavor. Greek yogurt definitely has an acquired taste. I didn't eat the plain one. I eat the peach flavored. I still have a shake every now and then. At least 2 to 3 times a week. More so when I'm on the go and don't wanna skip a meal. Keep up the good work. Have a blessed day.

    My hair thinnes out a lot on the sides. I didn't notice it anywhere else. That started around 5 months out. I started taking hair,skin, and nail vitamins. Its high in Biotin. My hair has filled back in and its gotten thicker. I didn't need it to get thicker, but at least I'm not bald on the side anymore. Lol. I'm doing pretty good with my vitamins. I'm done with the B1. I gt a B12 shot every month, and I take my calcium and multi vitamin everyday. I take iron every night as we'll. My iron level was low at my last appointment. I think because I work out, I have been blessed to not have too much lose skin. I am noticing that I have more because I'm still losing. Started focusing on weights and strength training.

    Not a problem. And yes he is very strict. I needed that as well. I think that's what has helped me be as succesul as I am during this whole process. I waited 6 weeks to start exercising. I started with walking. I usually walk around the Forum in Inglewood. How long are you expectimed to be in pain? I'm guessing its because you had a revision as well as a repair which is why your still uncomfortable. Once you get over this hump, I think you'll be just fine. Just stick to it . I'm here if you have any questions or concerns.

Thankgiving Dinner WOW!!

Ok, so I thought I was going to die on Thanksgiving. All the food, I thought was going to send me over the edge, but to my surprise I was just fine. I ate with my family, not as much as everyone else, but I enjoyed myself. I stoped when I was full. I even had some drinks...Felt the effects really quickly, but still had fun. I hope everyone else had a great day like I did.

Don't know what to do??

It has been 2 months out, I have lost but have stalled by my one hands. I am back to not eating enough, not enough protein and vitamins are skipped daily. I just feel like my old habits have taken over again...Don't know how to get back on track. Any suggestions??

I know I need to start exercising, maybe that will push me in the right direction..I just need some help. I want to be 70 lbs lighter in a year. How do I re-focus??

Just wanted to stop by and update my progress. I haven't been on...busy...busy. Weight is coming off slowly but surely. I am loosing inches which makes me happier...I can fit into a 14/16 which I haven't done in years. I need to start my exercise program really soon, So I can see the pounds drop a little faster. Hello everyone, I haven't blogged in awhile. I have been adjusting to this new way of life for myself. Never have I gone thru such a mentally challenging change. Done with Mushy Food

I need help!! I can't eat another thing that is mushy...I am tired of yogurt, cottage cheese, soup, broth, pureed dinner....I can't take it anymore. I want some food!! Food I can savor and enjoy. Does anyone have any suggestions for Stage 3...HELP!!
