Congratualtions
Congrats on your surgery today!
My surgery is on June 30. So its right around the corner. Just have to do labs and pre op appointment the just wait til the 30th ...getting nervous
Watched your video!!!! You don't look 50!!! You look great. Anyways just checking in. Looks like you will be sleeved in no time!
Thank you..basically diet and the sleeve. I do walk more and have more energy in my daily life. Congrats on your weight loss as well. Keep in touch after surgery. God bless you will be in my prayers.
Good day, I do not get on the boards as much post op as pre op but all is well. I am trying to eat but my fluid intake has really improved and I have lost 100lbs. which includes from the time i started Nov. 10, 2011 and I weighed my self on May 27th. When is your surgery date and how are you doing?
It was almost 2 weeks until I heard back from ins. It didnt matter if they would cover it or not, I was going to have it done!
When I saw your picture on your profile, you remind me of me. It was so refreshing to look at a face like mine. Bless you for sharing your story. I sent up a quick prayer on your surgery date. I want you to do well. Talk me through the process sis. And tell me the truth. If you're feeling like "bleep" say it. Talk to me about your triumphs and your fails. I'm a "big girl" I can take it (ha!) Blessings and Peace Diane (Bet you didn't expect that much )
I haven't told a soul about the surgery, but pleanty of clues have been left behind (on the kitchen table, on my desk at home - family walks by a voila) I'm telling everyone I'm having gallbladder surgery (that's is the truth, but only the partial truth). As I get closer to a surgery date, I will tell my family. I'm shooting for the Single Incision Lap. Surgery. I'm about 40 lbs away and about 3.5 months away from having any actual surgery. So fingers crossed, I will have transumbilical vertical sleeve gastrectomy "belly button surgery"
I was concerned about the psyc eval. I've never spoke to a metal health clinician in my life. I'm not crazy or anything, but I said "what if this woman thinks I'm crazy" This entire process can do your head in. Made an admission to my Nut that my food addition was "orange juice" and she thought I should talk to guess who - the psyc doctor again. I think I'll pass. I've done without orange juice since June 2010, so there you have it. I just find that this hoop jumping to get the surgery is making me anxious as I get closer to a possible surgery date.
The goal post keeps moving. 2/15 should have/could have been the end of my supervised weight loss program. But there are some concerns about my physician not weighting me in on the 31st of October (I saw her on the 1st of November). Med office is concerned that my insurance company may make me do two additional months. I'm a little jaded by the medical community here in NY. Especially in their grab for the almighty insurance dollar. Cardiac Clearance - appointment was made. I explained why I was there. Upon my arrival to the office I am told they don't have the necessary equipment to perform the test (I'm 315 lbs); so I have to now wait for a date at the hospital.
Hello. Thanks for the message. Where are you at in your process are you pre op or post op.....Have a Blessed day sis
