Hi santy. Thanks. I can see the difference in me now. I've just enrolled at the gym and going to start stepping up my exercise as I've really slowed down with the weightloss. I need to tone up, or start saving for a tummy tuck. My legs seem ok, but my tummy? Omg it's awful.
How's it going with you? I have been enjoying a few weekends away. I seem to be able to drink a bit more, but wine seems to hit me real quick. The food is still ok, as I literally can't eat it. I've got used to that part of my new life now and can accept it happily. Food no longer rules me and I love that it doesn't

hi santy thanks for the message i was pissed off with myself i dont ever weigh myself as a rule but for the last coupkle of weeks i have thinking it would help me track my ticker and 2 weeks ago i was 279 and last week i was 282 :-( id put weight on totaly gutted that sent me into a panic thinking WHY then i realised i has had 2 indian meals in a week 1 at a resturant and 1 as a take away and i went back to both and graised so now im not going to beat myself up and NOT having a curry either i will weigh myself later this week.
that is great news that your so close to your next goal WELL DONE KEEP IT UP i am so chuffed for you :-) xx

Hi Santy. I think I was just lucky that I lost some pre op and then it came off quickly just after surgery. It's slowing down a lot now. I seem to average a couple lb a week now, so I'll probably get to goal around the same time as everyone else. You're doing great and it's so lovely to know that none of us are on a diet. We literally can't eat like we used to and therefore it doesn't matter how long it takes to get to goal. We're not depriving ourselves to then start binging like before. Keep up the good work. It's great to see friends on here making progress. I've got a couple more weekends away coming up and won't be so worried about putting on lbs like I used to. X

    hi santy
i am driving myself crazy what to eat what not to eat how much is to much and am i getting enough protien i had my sleeve done on oct 31st so im 85 days into it and i can eat anything and i mean anything but not as much as i could before my operation its proper getting me down now guess im just scared it hasnt worked do you or are you going through this ?
  13. I am into my sixth week post op and all is well! After the initial hard work of getting over the surgery and liquid diet etc it is now good to be starting on proper food! I do find it difficult to eat as much as expected but little and often seems to suit me fine. How strange to feel full after eating so little I can't get my head around it but boy the future looks good. I went out with extended family for an Indian on the weekend and as this was the first meal "out" I managed to push the food around my plate as I ate very little and no one noticed, only my husband knew of the surgery. It was odd not having starters and dessert but not a worry as this is the way of getting down in weight and I did come away feeling really pleased that this meal was not insurmountable and that any future outings will be easily dealt with. Strange not to have a drink though, doc says not alcohol for one year. As I have not had any since November this was not a problem.
I have a long way to go even further than I thought as I seem to have shrunk to 5'11' from 6ft! Hope the height does not fall away with the weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe some of you people!!!!!!!!!

by Santy on 04-09-2012 at 07:43 AM
After going through surgery whether by insurance payment or self payment some people on this site really do not look after themselves. How many times have I read that after only a few week out people are eating as if they have not had any surgery and worse had no advice on what to eat!
Surely if you have had major surgery you would be savvy enough to look after yourself and take care not to eat the wrong things.
But no there are folks who are eating as if they have cast iron linings

Decided to change from kgs to lbs..............

by Santy on 04-01-2012 at 06:38 AM
I have decided to change from kgs to lbs on my ticker as I am fed up with seeing large numbers!!!!!!!
I know its the same weight whatever but this has made me feel better about my weight so it is probably only mind games but who knows?
Over here we still use stones and pounds, well I do, and so kgs and lbs are alien to me!

Away for the weekend, how will it go?!!!!!!!!!!!

by Santy on 01-27-2012 at 02:59 AM
I am off to Cornwall for three nights at a hotel and am a little worried as to what I will eat and how I will manage. Starting my ninth week means I am eating most things now and although I have eaten out before this is the first time I have to deal with a whole weekend away from my kitchen sorting my own meals out. Think positive and I am sure all will be well. Let you know how I get on next week. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!
