Hey Cid - what's up?

I did give up for awhile, after finding out my insurance is so pointless (3000 bucks for a 19,000 dollar surgery, with no paying for any follow up? Geeee, thanks!) Then I looked into the credentials of Mexican surgeons and have been very impressed with Dr. Ariel Ortiz. Now I have some hope again, and in a year I will be flying down there with hubby to have my surgery. Some days I try to talk myself out of it because of the money, but I am stubborn. Life will be so much more pleasant and more fulfilling without the fat hanging on me. One day I'll probably get plastics, too, but not for awhile. Thanks for the good advice on not giving up!

Hey lady, how are you doing? Everything going alright so far? Just thought i'd drop a line to check on you

I had surgery Tues just coming hone now-Friday at 5. The surgery was a success however I started having esophageal spasm. I could not eat or drink without horrible pain it felt like someone was stabbing me in my throat and into my chest they would not release me in fear that I would dehydrate so they kept me there on an IV to insure I stayed hydrated and tried several medications till they found one that works. I'm still having spasms but they are 95% better so I think things are looking up

Oops I will continue here Ohio Sleevers I see you had your surgery in May mine is Tuesday and was hoping for some information. How did you feel right after the surgery? Was there a lot of pain immediately following?

I remember that boredom all to well but they have that schedule for a reason I also remember thinking how nasty the puree stage sounded pre-surgery but the closer I got to it, it sounded like absolute heaven!!! Keep at it, sounds like you're doing GREAT!!!

Glad to hear everything going good for you!! How did your appointment go? Are they as pleased as you are so far? You're absolutely right to do for you too, finding that balance is interesting some times but you're definitely worth the effort!! Take good care of yourself & let me know if you need anything!!
