Hello Everyone!
I went to the doctor on Monday for my 6 month post-op and I am very happy to announce that I have lost a total of 97lbs and counting. It has not been an easy task but definitely well worth it. Dr. Jawad has given me a new lease in life and I am so happy I made this life changing decision. There are no words to express the amazing feeling I feel when I am able to play with my 4 about to be 5 year old and not feel like I’m about to die. We are always on the go now. Being able to get on the floor with her and not wonder…OMG, How am I going to get off this floor? is a feeling I can’t ever begin to describe. Being able to do things that thin people take for granted or even things that I never tried to do because I just knew my weight would not let me accomplish. I feel like there is no limit to the things I am able to accomplish now and I so look forward to what greatness is yet to come.

I'm two days post op. My main complain is that I'm very, very thirsty
And this 33cc's of liquid every 20minutes does not seem to be helping.
I'm still a little sore also. Doctor found a hernia by my belly button and
took care of it when he did the surgery. That's really the only place
I'm sore at. Does anyone have any suggestions on the being thirsty?

Very common question! I am only 1 week out but I will say that once cleared you should do weights, lifting will always help tone muscle and help tighten up the unwanted skin. But you should do the weights throughout the lifting, not wait until its all off and you have access skin. Best to include some weight lifting into your workout regimen!

Hello everyone! I am 15 days out until my surgery and honestly I am very, very scared. All I have heard from people is positive but there are a lot of things I am concerned about that I wish someone would tell me without sugar coating it. What do you all suggest me to do to help with the excess during my weight loss? I am 407 pounds and that is one of my biggest concerns. I know I will end up having to have surgery to remove some skin but I am looking for ways to help it along.
